I'm simply saying, people in other parts continuously think scotland is nothing without scotland, they taught us how to be gentlemanly, how to live, how to use cutlery... etc? Dear god scotland had a population before england :rolleyes:!

I don't like this type of 'stereotyping' either. Interestingly I found out despite all the claims that 'England' subsidises Scotland in fact it receives 8.9% of revenue and raises 10% of revenue so that's that generic misconception confined to the trash can.

It's very dumb of you to stereotype, I've never done so but that's because I've had a very international background. Be the stereotype positive or negative, it is never a true reflection, I've met many fantastic people from specific places and upright ***** from those same places. It's these things that get into peoples heads and they really need to realize what this world is. For example, I've seen people on here on a few (rare, but they do pop up) occasions stereotyping Americans as being obese eating McDonald's etc. all the time, yet Germans are only .2% below America in their percentage of population overweight sats, the UK is only 6% lower. Yet no one ever admits to the fact that Britain's rate is quite a disturbing figure too.

Just like Rosie mentioned above, it is those exact misconceptions that people get, toppled onto by prejudice and a nationalistic attitude create this. Haven't personally seen the thread of the user who stimulated this feedback, but they seem to live in a very confined world and have not experienced much from outside this "world".

It doesn't matter about your background. I am virtually certain you are stereotyped someone before. It is completely normal to do so..

I'm not saying the Scottish are poor themselves (my family has lived there and my Brother does now, so I'm not some racist stereotyping you) or that they live in worse places than the rest of Britain, just that you could financially support yourselves.

You can goggle it for yourselves and you'll see there have been studies which clearly show how Scotland could barely stay afloat for the first few years until it would be in crisis, the counter arguments to these are hopeful at the best replying on British banks which blows the whole independence idea out the window.

Its probably easy putting it this way - England is the only country in Britain which could financially support itself without Britain.

There are only certain people who want an independent Scotland and I don't see were you are getting the steal from England from?

Unlucky for you the people who represent Scotland want it, or at least its the portrayed that way through the media. Scotland couldn't exist how it is now without the money it gets from England its the same as Wales, Fact. Its harsh but it is true.

Also ~just as a thing~ I don't care about the silly youmeo thing, the bossman didn't pay his younguns on time, worked them into oblivion, so I did as little as possible and left when I saw it wasn't going to get better.

Lo and behold it failed and I have no idea what Simon/Greg are up to, I hope it goes well for them I truly do.
