I really don't know where you get the part in bold from, Richie. All moderators stop and think how to handle a post. We have to decide does it break the rules or not - simple as that. As I have said before Mods have to mod with the rules and regulations given to them. We cannot pick and choose which rule break we will or will not enforce only the penalty we issue. In any event of any member feels a pm, warning or infraction is unfair there are avenues to get it looked at. If the It is found to be unfair then the mod is told why so hopefully it will not happen again so there is always a safety net. If the outcome is negative and member does not agree with the outcome, it does not mean the moderators are wrong it simply means the member doesn't agree with that particular rule. Nobody can please everybody. Even I don't agree with some things but I moderate to them and abide by them as that's what I agreed to do when signing up to the forum.

What you are offended by and what a 13 year old is offended by are going to be completely different, and moderators have to take this into account. That's why we can't post 18+ material, because this forum is aimed at 12-15 year olds, that's Habbo's main clientele and therefore management/moderators have to make sure the forum is suitable for this age range.

If anyone desperately needs to discuss sex, there's loads of websites and forums specifically for that... this website is specifically for habbo.

That's my point though you can use your discretion.

Well Akeam if someone is genuinely upset by a post on an online forum which isn't directed at them they really need to step back and greet reality again. I don't see what the huge fuss is, I don't want to talk about sex but sometimes that's where conversations lead to. Perhaps it's just me but I don't see how somebody can be offended by something that isn't directed at them, to me that is just insane.

I totally agree that's why we have the general, gaming and technology sections

I don't want an 18+ forum I'm just saying I don't see how saying fanny and fingered is graphic but I suppose it's different for other people.

Why is this thread still open it's just people repeating themselves/each other

    I'll sum up shall I

    • We can't have an 18+ section because it will not only divide the forum pointlessly but also potentially leave Hx open to legal and ethical problems in terms of policing it etc
    • We can talk about sex, just not in graphic detail. There's nothing wrong with this, as if you really need to share detailed info with someone then either they're a friend and you prob have them on msn or something, or you're just shouting it about to brag, in which case you deserve to be shut up
    • Some people getting older on here does not mean that everyone is now mature, or that those people have any great need for adult content that they can't get elsewhere
    • Not everyone has the same views as each other concerning what is appropriate or not. I'm not offended by people talking about ripping a penis open with a pair of acid-coated rusty tweezers but I don't suggest that we ought to have a gore and torture section. The forum is far more lenient than it used to be and we all survived back in the ---ANGRY--- days so I'm sure we can just about live with not posting the intimate details of another user's anatomy with whom we have become acquainted

Well, that's not the sort of language you would use around a 13 year old in real life, is it? so why does it make any difference just because it's on the forum. Those other sections you mentioned are there for older members as well as younger members, younger members can take part in those discussions, whereas if there is an 18+ forum, it puts a barrier between the older users and younger members and stops them taking part.

Well obviously I wouldn't speak to a kid about sex in real life but if I was having a conversation with a friend and a 13 year old started to listen to our conversation, that isn't my problem. I wouldn't spark up a conversation with a 12 year old on here about sex but if they chose to read the conversation that's their problem. I totally understand why the rule is there but I don't understand how saying "Fingered and fanny" is graphic.

Why should they have to avoid posts on the forum? you shouldn't post if it's not appropriate for any of the forum members. When you write something on the forum, everyone can see it, it's not listening into a conversation, this is a discussion board everyone should be involved.

Well as far as I know it wasn't inappropriate to say fingered. You wouldn't discuss certain things that you would post in the health section with a 13 year old but it happens "What do you wear to bed?", "how big is your penis", "Are you a virgin?", "what drugs have you taken?".

It is just like talking about how many people you have screwed but with your finger.

To me graphical would be describing what exactly you did with your fingers and how it felt, that is in depth, stuff like "fingered" isn't so much.
