Spam is for everyone and sure you can post what you like in there, but the point is that you cannot and should not expect all replies to be positive, especially if it's a slow day. If people can't handle criticism of the more stupid portions of their personality then they shouldn't expose it

I think?) where the hordes of the Spam army will mock or post the blatantly obvious that it's not funny or interesting, or a wee bit arrogant

The Spam forum is a weird place, despite the name people like it when random, pointless threads are interesting and useful to the reader.
But you seem to be contradicting yourself here as I suggested a Habbo Spam thread. :S
@ FJ - this is all very well but do you agree that members should be put off posting there because of what could be seen as a 'hostile' reaction to them posting there?

    Spam Members?

    Literal spam members?

That's basically a hostile sentence by itself, I think you should regard everyone on the forum as a Forum Member, because "Spam Member" instantly makes it look like another group void from the rest of the forum which you have to gain acceptance from.

No I think that if people are genuinely interested in posting a picture of a can of SPAM meat and think it's hilarious then they should feel happy to do so, but as I keep saying they should prepare themselves for a less than friendly backlash just like you'd get if you went into the middle of town and put Rebecca Black on a loud speaker system on repeat. If you're not comfortable enough with yourself to endure it why should anyone else have to endure your (obviously not you personally, I mean in general) nonsense?

I totally agree with the fact that people who 'think' they own spam seem to think it's exclusive. I think I created one thread in spam when I first joined, and the first reply was quite hostile, for no apparent reason other then I assume, that I posted in the spam section.

Spam section should , by right, be able to post anything, if somebody doesn't like that thread, they should just not post. I know it's hard for those egotistical members who feel they should make their presence known, but I'm sure they could resist.

If spam gets split up into different categories, it's just letting those members think they do own spam.

How am I contradicting myself? A Habbo Spam thread won't work. Period Forums and threads work completely differently, and one thread cannot hold all that Habbo Spam. There's no point having a Habbo Spam forum because it's untidy to keep adding a forum to solve issues when people should be able to post anything in the Habbo sections. If they're being pointless, advise and react. Though arguably this whole argument seems to be based on a non-problem - e5s thread wasn't pointless, it was just boring and would of sank to the bottom of the forum, much like it did in the Spam forum

Also, hasn't Spam generally got a social stigma associated with it? It's unwanted material posted on forums by defintion. Such negative behaviour you get in the Spam forums comes naturally, seeing as Spam forums are where you place unwanted threads, posts and people

I did get that, but your post above didn't describe me at all. I am egotistical yes but I've quite clearly been saying in this thread that spam is for anyone to post in and I don't think I own it at all. Not sure where you get the idea that I'm slow from, you obviously haven't read any of my posts and are just lashing out because I didn't kiss you on both cheeks when you turned up making stupid comments.

Your assumption that you got hostile replies for being in a certain area is also incorrect, you're showing quite wonderfully in your last few posts here in feedback that you're just plainly annoying. If you have any genuine and useful comments to make please go ahead but false assumptions, pointless attacks and (somewhat ironically) spamming is not what's needed in this thread.

Now now! Just because somebody doesn't like fishing doesn't mean they'll stop eating fish. Same goes here, you may say that spam is for everyone, but the way you act in spam says otherwise. Sure, slow maybe the wrong word to describe you, maybe arrogant is a better one.
Lashing out? Don't get me wrong, I'm sure most people would love a kiss on both cheeks by a charming young fellow like yourself, but it's just not my thing.

My assumptions that I got hostile replies were actually correct. In the thread I stated I said something harmless such as the spam forum is quite dead, and you yourself replied with something I can't remember, but it was still hostile, for no apparent reason. So, that says theres only two reasons why I got that response. 1) You didn't like me or 2) You didn't like the thread because it was in spam. As I was new, I would assume that both reasons are related.

You shouldn't state opinions as facts! They can cloud peoples judgements You may indeed think I am annoying, but that doesn't mean I am. Genuine and useful comments? Dear, this is a habbo forum, not every post needs to be genuine and useful.
And whats a forum without a little spam here and there.
