Oh also I'd like to point out, scientists are never always right and a lot of what they say is just theory.
Well, one bit of evidence for this is my friend. As I've already said. I'm currently on my phone so I shall show written evidence on this later.

Also when you're finding out your BMI you usually have to select what body build you are for it to be accurate.
Its practically common sense to know that people have different body builds.
Its usually determined by your genetic makeup. For example my friend Amys mother also has a large body structure but she isn't fat.

You do realise that the term ‘fat’ is subjective, meaning everyone has different opinions on what is ‘fat’ some would class it as being slightly overweight, others would say someone’s fat if they’re obese. Your friend Amy isn’t evidence.

Some BMI calculators may ask you for your body type, but that doesn’t matter unless, as I’ve already stated you’re a body builder etc. Your friend is most likely overweight, however I haven’t seen her or know anything about her to make a judgment.

I pardon that you excuse me for taking the liberty of looking at the photos you posted in the picture thread. Based on the info you have given on the forum including your photo and your current weight and height I would say that it is true that you are overweight. Try simple changes at first - try to make your diet a bit healthier each day, for example. You don't have to rush yourself to the gym and exercise if it is too much trouble for you. Granted, going to the gym will give you more muscle mass and faster results. Just bear in mind that something as easy as rewriting your diet and cutting some bad foods out can take off the weight that bothers you.

When doctors in hospitals first take you in they get your body type etc, so tbh it must matter.

    And she really isn't overweight.
She has a rugby players body, and she got this from her mum. I mean honestly, everyone has different builds. Excuse me for trying to be nice and say he's not overweight, he might just have a different body build to everyone else!

And btw, Obese and fat are two completely different things in the terms of medical scienticts.

And my friend is evidence, as she gives examples to what I am saying. My body build is very small bones, so I weigh 5stone, she has much larger bones compared to me, so she weighs around 10stone.

Sorry, I’m lost as to what you’re talking about, please elaborate.

    And she really isn't overweight.
Again, I don’t know her weight, height or waist/dress size to make a judgment.

She has a rugby players body, and she got this from her mum. I mean honestly, everyone has different builds.
A rugby players body? There are different roles in rugby which require different characteristics. For example, props are usually the stronger, heavier players. They need to be heavy as well as strong to give them the best chance of winning in the scrum. You wouldn’t have someone with the body type of a prop playing fallback as they need to be quicker so obviously the extra weight wouldn’t be helpful.
I presume you are using the term ‘rugby players body’ to describe the first example I used, which suggests that your friend is indeed, overweight/fat. Again, I don’t know this I can only summarize from what you’ve said.

Excuse me for trying to be nice and say he's not overweight, he might just have a different body build to everyone else!
Telling someone they aren’t overweight/fat when they are causes more harm than being truthful which might hurt their feelings initially, but it’s far better/healthier in the long run for that person.

And btw, Obese and fat are two completely different things in the terms of medical scienticts.
Yes, Obese is a medical term for the extremely overweight, Fat, is not a medical term, and again, is subjective.

And my friend is evidence, as she gives examples to what I am saying. My body build is very small bones, so I weigh 5stone, she has much larger bones compared to me, so she weighs around 10stone.
She weighs around 10 stone, not due to her bone density, but because of other differences e.g how tall she is, her fat content etc.

She weighs around 10 stone, not due to her bone density, but because of other differences e.g how tall she is, her fat content etc.
    1) You said that BMI doesn't really matter.
    2) If you don't know anything about her, then don't automatically jump to conclusions eg: she's overweight.
    3) I'm using a rugby players body to mean that she has a rugby players body, as she plays rugby.. her whole family pretty much played rugby, so their bodies changed overtime to suit the roles that they're playing.
    4) I am being truthful, from what I've seen of him, he isn't overweight, he looks like his bone structure is different. It's like someone has fleshy cheeks. That doesn't mean that they're fat, it just means that they were made different, because guess what, nobody is the same so everyone obviously has different bodies and structures.
    5) Fat is just another term for overweight. Overweight is not obese.
    6) She weighs 10stone DUE to her bone density. She is the same height as me, and eats WAY less than me, and I eat like a pig! So fat content definatly isn't a factor.

Ask any doctor or science teacher, and they will tell you that people appear to be larger than others because of their bones.

what's that go to do with anything?
    2) If you don't know anything about her, then don't automatically jump to conclusions eg: she's overweight.
as i said, i used logic to come to the conclusion that she is overweight and have given reasons why I came to that conclusion
    3) I'm using a rugby players body to mean that she has a rugby players body, as she plays rugby.. her whole family pretty much played rugby, so their bodies changed overtime to suit the roles that they're playing.
as i said, the term 'rugby players body' is extremely wide. I love how you're trying to suggest she's evolved due to her parents playing rugby, so laughable.
    4) I am being truthful, from what I've seen of him, he isn't overweight, he looks like his bone structure is different. It's like someone has fleshy cheeks. That doesn't mean that they're fat, it just means that they were made different, because guess what, nobody is the same so everyone obviously has different bodies and structures.
he doesn't have a different body to everyone else, sorry for using such an old phrase, but have you ever seen a big skeleton?...
    5) Fat is just another term for overweight. Overweight is not obese.
    no it isn't.
    FAT
    Adjective:
(of a person or animal) Having a large amount of excess flesh.
as you can see, the ammount of excess flesh isn't stated ,so it is subjective in the sense that everyone has differing opinions as to whether someone's fat or not. lucky for us there are systems to measure whether someone is overweight or not.

    6) She weighs 10stone DUE to her bone density. She is the same height as me, and eats WAY less than me, and I eat like a pig! So fat content definatly isn't a factor.
sorry, are you a doctor? how could you possibly know she weighs 10 stone due to her bone density and that she isn't 10 stone just because she overeats and is therefore overweight?

Ask any doctor or science teacher, and they will tell you that people appear to be larger than others because of their bones.
    no they won't.
(makes longer so i can respond)

Oh wow, I'm sorry, but are YOU a doctor then?

Considering my mum is a highschool teacher, she mainly teaches science and she said, and I quote: 'What this person is saying is utterly stupid, as everyone has different body structures, just like boys and girls bone structures are not the same. He/she needs to read up on their facts.'

And also the HEAD of science at our school taught us only last week about this.

And what I said about the fat = overweight is true, considering once again, we learnt it in school.

Did I ever say she evolved to have a rugby players body from her parents? No. What I said was that SHE is a rugby player, so her body ends up adapting its self in slight ways to suit being a rugby player.
If she had tiny little bones, like some people, they'd just snap.

And about the BMI, you said 'Some BMI calculators may ask you for your body type, but that doesn’t matter' so I just replied that it does matter.. before you start to try make me look like an idiot on saying stuff about BMI, maybe you should remember stuff that you wrote on previous posts?

Oh god. Arguing about something which I'm obviously correct in (as most people know) *Removed*

You know what? get google out, and find out *Removed*

I think you'll find you're the one doing that, oh also it's pretty rude that you don't have respect for someone older than you because as far as I'm aware The Don is an adult
