You wouldn't live till 40 if you picked the wrong box. You would die, you wouldn't get the money you had won up until that point. It's an instant death scenario, not a 'You can spend your money but your life will be shorter'

Just out of interest, would you say you could put a price upon someone's life ever?

I honestly don't think I would take the gamble. I mean, I don't *need* the money, I'm quite happy with life at the moment, so there's no need to risk it. If I want to gamble for a lot of money, I'll stick to the lottery

That sounds fair enough. Would you get more tempted to try it later on in life? - so when you're not so comfortable. (Not that student life isn't great or anything..)

Perhaps, but I'm not in that suituation so I wouldn't know until I got to that point

Just go to random.org and have the random number generator go from 1 to 100, if it picks 1 you die, and you lower the upper limit as you carry on.

You died. You don't get the money. Otherwise the whole problem is kind of pointless, and you'd get tons of old people/terminally ill people just doing it to get money for their families.
