No backwards compatibility should be expected. Please understand why it has happend, if you want to play Xbox 360 games then use your Xbox 360.

No Used Games = Wrong, there is just a fee which I said I wasn't sure about until more information was released.

No Using it Without Kinect = Erm, you can use an Xbox without touching the kinect. There is some confusion whether it has to be connected or not to use the Xbox but doesn't mean you have to use it.

Is Fifa 14 exclusive to Xbox?

I believe it's just exclusive content to the Xbox.

There is no confusion, it has been confirmed that the XBOX One will not function without a Kinect attached which leads me to believe, taking the logical route, that Kinect input is pivotal to the entire 'XBOX One' experience. Oh let's pick a technicality out of that, fact remains there's no real used games unless you pay an ADDITIONAL fee. These are facts coming from the mouths of Microsoft employees by the way.

Why is it to be expected? I can play XBOX original games on my XBOX 360 so why can't I play XBOX 360 games on an XBOX One?

I'm angered by a company that I've stood by for 8 years without hesitation, I'm sure you can see how this is a slap in the face with Microsoft's phallus if you take your Microsoft tinted glasses off for one second and stop defending their stupid solutions to problems that don't even exist.

For people who cannot understand why the Xbox One can't or doesn't play Xbox 360 games:

Technologically speaking, it's not wholly a surprise that backwards compatibility is off the table. Today, the company confirmed months of rumors that the new Xbox would use an x86 CPU. Games designed for the Xbox 360's Xenon processor simply won't run natively on the new hardware, since the Xenon used a PowerPC architecture instead. Of course, Sony's PlayStation 4 has the same problem: Sony also chose to move to x86 from PowerPC, and the PS4 also won't directly support PS3 games.

Read at the top of this post about it. Xbox and Xbox 360 didn't change from PowerPC - We have now changed from it with the Xbox One and that is a GOOD thing.

    Get over it.

Emulators work pretty fine on the PC, no? Of course they won't run natively, there's ways around it and again we're back to customer satisfaction, aren't we?

But keep dodging my arguments, funny.

Hmmm and does this whole not being able to play 360 games on the One mean that my collection of 360 games are rendered useless if I buy the new console?

From what I can tell yeah they won't work altogether. But you don't have to get rid of the 360 - You can keep both until you decide to switch fully over I suppose. But it is something that was going to be expected because it is about time to move away from the PowerPC in the game consoles which is why both Microsoft and Sony have done it this time round.

I would have said the same If I was management or not management.
