Thread is older than the sun but still it makes sense; having an account with set rep power and unlimited capacity to dish it out would mean that not only would people see when they've received it, but there'd be a simple record for staff in the "reputation given" part of usercp

An account should +rep winners, which a set amount of rep power, so the winner gets what they've won (assuming all rep prizes are the same?). This way they can leave a message saying - Competition winners rep or something, would save a PM?

Yeah an account doing it would be great, because unlike with tokens, you can't see that it has been added. It could be done to the Events account that already exists and then people will know what it's for. The only problem is what post will it +rep, and what if the user hasn't posted?

Surely they will have posted? I doubt people are gonna ask for rep if they're not regular members of the forum - they'd choose furni?

I guess so, but then you still have to go and find a post to +rep.
