powertoo mentioned at the last fansite meeting that she really liked our articles so it's perhaps unfair to write the department off on that basis alone. A good idea and a market that Habbox could get into but it'd also need coverage and simply adding a category wouldn't provide that. A widget would work though. Due to the quick turnaround needed, I'd personally put it with the news department rather than content.

You must be reading different news to me as I don't see people rambling for the minimum, if they think they can't reach it they said they can't do it usually.

not rambling so much but more like going into details people don't necessarily want to read for the stuff like badges etc. when people are starting to talk about what people think and how pretty the badge is and what they think about the badge it's not exactly what a lot of readers would want to read and the feedback we got from the news survey sorta does agree with that opinion really.

wouldn't be a department would just be a role within the news dep where those people only required to do those instead of normal reports, still allowing normal reporters to do it. it's only a suggestion but it would probably also encourage more people to apply anyway who would be interested in that but not normal reports or if it was put into content then not interested in wiki etc.

I find all these restrictions a bit silly, personally I would have just merged news, content and graphics into a new department, just called content, and let people do what they want to do. I think quotas are a bit silly. That's why I think it's pointless having a 'sub-department', but considering that's how the departments are set up, I guess doing something like that could help.

yea definitely a widget would be good, obviously I have no idea how quick that would be able to be set up though due to the requirement of this being done very soon to take the niche. if you know anything about that it would be good lmao

I've just been looking at the V6 widget code, it'd be a fair bit of working to set up a widget for a news category.

How much coding actually is it will cause it's quite an important thing if it could work really, such a big niche and worked really well for habbosecrets after all, could make quite a bit of difference to habbox if it works. probably better not something left to v7 really cause by that time some other fansite will have definitely taken it up and we won't get the chance anymore

Firstly, I don't think that you can actually just add a top level navigation option, not easily in any case.

Secondly, a widget is possible but David's news functions are a mess and don't allow for this level of control.

Thirdly, I don't have your epic graphic making skills.

Why can't a navigation thing be added? That's a bit silly? Can you replace them? Make Register into Register/Login and Login into Answers?

And why does it have to involve the news system? I'm a bit clueless in these things Is it not possible to just have a text box and an image in that widget that can be edited easily? And then the guide pages in the 'Answers' page would just be like all the other content pages on the site? (Although I think it was @laura; who was saying before how much of a hassle it is to add/edit content pages in V6).

And that's a shame, I would teach you but it's so difficult to learn

well u dont necessarily need a habbo geek to do it (although it would help). all they might be doing sometimes is quickly writing up wat they r reading in the thread on the habbo news and announcements thread
