And the problem with stickying is, you get 3 guides, and there's no more news on the frontpage.

And if it were visible under news, that would be the same as being visible under a new 'Answers' page, so they're the same in that respect
i think due to it being small reports unlike the others you probably would fit about 4/5 onto homepage.

@e5; if anything it is something that needs to be dealt with asap though really cause of it being a niche that other fansites will probably try to fill if we don't first lmao

I've been in Content for 15 months, News for about 24 months if you add them together and I can honestly say I don't care if it goes in news or content, it's something that could be a step in the right direction for Habbox whichever department it goes in - I know it doesn't matter how long anyone has been here, but I've been writing for both sides of the Habbox Content Departments for some time and yes there's a change, but with the experience that is already in News they could easily condense the report and so could Content.
I'm not bothered who gets it, I'm bothered about where it will go, so it can get the most exposure, and I'm bothered by people saying that the content department shouldn't have it They'd do just as good if time isn't an issue (and as people pointed out, it shouldn't be as most of the content team is in news?)

I agree with the last sentence, thus no department has the upper hand and I do see the problem with the stickying, hopefully somewhere in the near but distant future there's an easier way to display more than 3 articles on the homepage.

Well on a widget, when somebody clicked the link for "Guide X" I would rather have it pop up the answers in a small box than an entirely new page, although I don't know what V6 widget boxes are capable of doing.

Im actually more coming onto the idea (or did I already say this idk) that you could create a sub-division thus allowing both content and news to participate in it. I don't think I'm allowed to say what this was, but a year or so ago, all news, GFX and I think content staff were invited to take part in a project - they all shared the same subforum, saw the same info and had the same perms in there. The project never got completed (I'm not sure why, maybe lack of interest from staff) but the system worked fine. People still held their original content/gfx/news roles but could work together on something.

And I agree with your last point, they both begin with In as well, very confusing
Yes they still very much do, but the work behind the scenes is more done by the AGM Community, it all depends what event it is though really. HxSS would be done by the AGM with delegation, but smaller ones can be done by just the department managers themselves as long as they get the ok from the GM team.

So you're saying, with that image I posted, the latest guides released (or whatever I called that green widget), would have about 4/5 times more text in it? Essentially saying 5 new guides have been released, small descrip of each, and a link for each?

I don't think more than 3 will fit, what you can do perhaps is have a link to the rest of the guides/answers too on each one so they're not really lost.

Ahh okay, my bad then Can't say I've never known what happens behind the scenes for the big events What does the event manager actually do then, other than supervising staff?

I don't think he means that, I believe he means how the news reports are on Habbox at the moment.

I agree that not many will fit. But how will you link to the rest of the guides if they are all different news articles? Surely you'd have X links for the X articles?

Ahh, I see. The news system on the front page is just 3 articles isn't it? Not based on length? If so, I guess you'll just change 3 up to 4/5?

Like I said they're usually always planning the next smaller event like Back 2 School was more event based the first year it was held, then it expanded. Likewise with Habbox24 as long as you have events for 24 hours you don't really need the GM team on your back all the time.

The Event Management will be supervising the staff, ensuring minimums are met, updating the calendar as soon as possible constantly throughout the day for changes. They also get new events sorted make sure staff have event rooms ready things like that and I believe they're one of the busiest departments on Habbox. I've never managed events here, but on other fansites I did woo @Mr-Trainor; and it takes lots of constant work.
