Unless you have a different relationship with your Mum then it doesn't work. A friend zone is a zone that happens when someone wants something more from another person but the other person just wants to be friends. It makes perfect sense to me.

that's not a zone. that's a friendship where one person likes the other, it's nothing to do with the other person placing them anywhere, it's the person with feelings problem alone. friend zone is used for guys to ***** about how girls go for crappy guys instead of good guys like them who are nice to the girls ( which is what friends should be instead of assuming they should be more). don't think ive heard of much girls saying they've been friend zoned by a guy loool

right i had a male BFF all throughout high school, i assumed he was gay. anyway in 5th yr he got a mutual friend to ask me out, i didn't see it coming at all n I said no because wasn't attracted to him, preferred guys who weren't all up in my face etcetc. he started ******** bout how he was much better than every guy ive liked, how he bought me alcohol and sometimes lunch even though he did it on his own accord not because i asked him, even told him I was uncomfortable with it. then preceded to bully me out of school all bc I rejected him despite the fact we had been really good friends 5 years prior.

so went to college to do my highers, become close friends with a guy as i always do (had male bffs since i can remember, still do). he told me he fancied one of our friends so was all cool but then one day someone told me he liked me n after that he stopped talking to me n even insulting me because again i "only ever go for **** heads". in the end they both proved to be ********* themselves!! deleted me on fbook n we never spoke again.

had2 other male bffs since. first one told ppl we were dating when we weren't then insulted us all n left college lol him n the second one used 4chan so that says it all. my new one has had girl bffs before cause ive known him a bit n people assume we're dating but I rly doubt he fancies me we just get along well

ive never thought oh **** im friendzoned. ive had guys say they only like me as a friend n yeah ive thought I'm better than some of the girls they like but I don't ***** about it, say every guy is a ****** or stop being their friend??

I once told a guy that my dad didn't approve of relationships just so I could get out of it. In my defence though, I was trying to not hurt his feelings and he did say 'ily' to me. :/

i.e. it can always go 1 of 2 ways when u 1st meet some1. friend or more. thats where u hear the term friend zone mostly

I don't think you have to be "placed" in the friend zone. If you like someone as more than a friend but they don't like you the same way back, whether or not they know about your feelings, doesn't matter. It's just a general term for when you have feelings for a friend.

Also, I think it's unfair to say that it's only for when guys want to ***** about girls. It's just a term, perhaps it does happen but only in some cases.

jfc it literally does not exist. You either fancy someone or you don't, and someone not fancying you is not some evil move that you can trick them out of by being nicer or whatever. If someone actually says the words "we're too good friends" it's just a nice way of saying that they are not attracted to you
