really surprised warwick isn't on that list, though quite frankly i do agree with it for the most part and the fact you are wasting your money and time applying somewhere rubbish.

All depends on what happens after you graduate if it was a waste of time/money or not.

I was surprised that Warwick was left out as well though.

warwick is average. it has good maths, econ and physics depts but most of its other depts are average at best and some are pretty poor indeed.

probably would have at least been worth putting it on the list saying its good for them then, especially considering it's basically on par with oxford/imperial for maths for the uk

not for undergrad it isnt... and oxford? cambridge blows every uk/us uni out of the water for maths.

ye cambridge does blow every other one out of the way for maths, but even oxford say themselves on open days for maths and stuff that "warwick and imperial are better then them for maths". no idea where you get the idea that undergrad maths at warwick isn't good from though, it's clearly known as one of the good ones to go to for it in the uk

as far as i can see this list after all doesn't include just cambridge on it's own, therefore ignoring the ones just below them in league tables just because cambridge is better doesn't make much sense
