its not a troll thread. uni is not about life experience (how could it be? its nothing like real life) - if thats what you want then get a job and stop relying on the state to fund your 'independence'. im glad youre in debt, it serves you right for not doing your research before you started uni.Totes troll thread but heres a serious answer to knock you all down:
University is all about the life experience, the education is just a boring way of teaching you what you'd learn in industry.
So bored with my course, ready to get it over and done with but coming to the end of it, it is very much a case of "Why the hell did I just waste like 5 years of my life and end up in that much debt for... that?" so ye
I'm starting to think people are going to uni just for the sake of it, at least all my friends are (and most people in my country), i have a friend who says he wants study law or engineering when he clearly doesn't even read the news and or know much about eng, and also another friend of mine who doesn't know what IT is when he said he wants to study info systems eng

anyway
Research wouldn't have prepared me for my careless spending which is the debt I'm focusing on. Student loans I couldn't care less about, I'm financially better off in that aspect than most of my friends. I only pay £1820 per year for tuition fees so thats about 4 grand less overall. Cannot wait to have a proper job though, I miss the money.its not a troll thread. uni is not about life experience (how could it be? its nothing like real life) - if thats what you want then get a job and stop relying on the state to fund your 'independence'. im glad youre in debt, it serves you right for not doing your research before you started uni.
It is about life experience as for some people its the first time they've ever lived away from home and had to stand on their own two feet. The stuff I learnt at University though I could've picked up in industry but that's my degree which is very different and more practical so yeah that's possible.
Amusing though your dig about "relying on the state". I can't rely on the state even if I wanted to because my family are hard working citizens who pay tax & earn over a boundary of pay thus the only state I rely on the State of Mum & Dad. So much for that.
noob if you only pay £1820 per year for tuition fees then the state subsidizes you, so you do in fact rely on the state.Research wouldn't have prepared me for my careless spending which is the debt I'm focusing on.
