But the site side of the department is guide work the majority of the time (or was when I was part of it in the past)
cake
all i found myself doing was spagging and updating info tbh when I was there. any guide work too would have needed like gifs/videos etc and coding which i wasn't really able to do anyway so I really was just stuck with that lmfao
It took a few too many edit PMs to prove it though, I can't see an improvement, well especially in the admin side it's still appalling as if I didn't do it, then it didn't get done. Also, the ones you named one of them has improved slightly, but there are reasons why I won't go into why they're not the best in the department.
Any decisions on who is taking over it then?

I agree and disagree, I have access to some department pages, Fast Food and an events page, one of them is more guide like I agree, but there are a few that aren't though. The guides I stay clear of too though, mainly the same reason as Inkwell.
This sounds more of a role for content rather than news with every new post. (By all means work together if needed)

Why can it simply not go into a separate subforum, which both content and news could view (and if someone who wasn't in those depts wanted to join it, just be given a new role) simply like the magazine did.
Honest to God people whine that news should try and be more up to date and improve, and when someone tries they claim another department to do it.
As news is a "specialised type of content" (to quote Kardan more or less), this job would be a "specialised type of content", so there is no reason not to shove it into its own department which news + content have access to, because both are equally capable of doing it.

Fully agree, I think the qualifications have become much too easy. Anyone who can make paint dry in a wall moderately good can be in nowadays. But the fact is and I really want Hx News to do well, as it's always been a 'baby' of mine as per say, is that it is the wrong direction to go in. I have not seen interesting articles posted recently, in retrospect, I've even see articles about international hotels take priority over Habbo.com.It took a few too many edit PMs to prove it though, I can't see an improvement, well especially in the admin side it's still appalling as if I didn't do it, then it didn't get done. If that's the ethos, why should people even bother reading news on Habbox.

So you are basically asking for a separate department? Not fully but you are with people who aren't in news or content to have a brand new role. Why can it simply not go into a separate subforum, which both content and news could view (and if someone who wasn't in those depts wanted to join it, just be given a new role) simply like the magazine did.

Because news has more crucial issues to tackle.....:rolleyes:Why can it simply not go into a separate subforum, which both content and news could view (and if someone who wasn't in those depts wanted to join it, just be given a new role) simply like the magazine did.

no article has actually taken any priority over .com that is international, hayden has actually checked everytime to make sure there was nothing else before he writes them (or at least so he claims).Fully agree, I think the qualifications have become much too easy. @Samanfa; well i think the admin side should probably pick up now me hayden and ryan are all off exams at least now which is hopeful lmao.
This is not directly anyone's fault. I have done a few of these international reports because it's fun to report on things from other hotels, you say that I should take Habbo.com as a priority and I do - but I have to leave news tasks for others, and no-one else (apart from Sam at times) in news explores international Habbo news. I would love to shove every Habbo.com piece of news out there, but then I get whined at for "doing all the news" (to quote CaptainAce).Fully agree, I think the qualifications have become much too easy. It's the fact other news reporters are too lazy and just don't care about news, and if no-one else is applying for news there is so little we can do about habbo.com being a priority without a massive rant occurring.
