Get a Ford Fiesta 1.4 TDCi LX (2002-date)

    -Torquey diesel engine
    -Cheap insurance
    -A/C
    -Heated front windscreen

Or go for the Zetec model and you'll get body coloured bumpers, front foglights and 15" alloy wheels but you'll lose out on the A/C and the heated windscreen unless you can find one with those fitted optional.

lucky for you over there, it dramatically changes the price over here. I could afford an Evo V but the insurance would have been £3k provisional on my parent's policy. I was lucky enough to get a Golf 1.9 GT TDI for £1500. (was around £800 provisional)

I'd reccomend a Fiesta, obviously because I drive one, to be honest I'd stay away from Corsa's as the steering just doesn't cut it compared to competitors, go for a 1.25 or 1.4TDCi Fez.

"This is Ford country and on a quiet day you can hear the Vauxhalls rusting."
