I agree. They make nice cases, but the parts inside are just as cheap and low quality as any OEM PC manufacturer (HP, Dell etc.). If you want high quality internal components you have to custom build.
And Foxconn, lol. (their high end stuff isn't too bad actually)

Now now, don't start making stuff upTo be known for having higher class products, you have to make the best and highest quality product you can but not only charge for the product itself but the name/logo that comes with it. All the top designer makes such as Dolce and gabbana, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Armani etc do make very high quality clothes that would be worth more than any other lower brand clothing regardless of the brand but they charge hundreds/thousands of pounds extra because of the brand/logo. This is what Apple have done, they charge loads for simple things like power adapters, cables, keyboards to maintain a good reputation for being the best. It's like whenever people see iPhones they say "wow an iPhone!" and it can be the same with Mac's. But to be honest, the sleek design, materials used to build it, the ridiculously high resolution HD display, the tidiness and enjoyable to use operating system could possibly tempt me to buy this iMac even if it wasn't apple.Apple products are expensive. Period. The quality isn't that amazing and doesn't justify their price. Aluminium MacBooks are a maybe, but you're not buying quality through Apple, you're just buying an Apple product - quality and Apple don't go together, same as PC and quality don't go together because there are always different sorts of product - you can get the cheapest of plastic PCs, or a solid metal one made out of high-quality materials, same with low-quality Apple products - Mac Mini? - to the iMac (although I'd opt for the MacBook Pro being higher quality). Apple selling their products as "high-quality" or luxury items, is a load of lies, I've never seen them advertise their products as "high-quality", then again, they're advertisements insult human intelligence anyway, so it's hard to tell what they are trying sell in
They have quite a bad reputation for price, and their products are down to opinion, rather materials used as the materials used are strangely, used materials - when you imagine glamour, you don't immediately assume "All those fixtures and fittings on a Maybach are used materials", like Apple have labelled the iMac
Have you not learnt from your last thread?
EDIT: Also, it's the Apple name and logo associated with Apple products that put me off, they're a disgrace as far as companies go and I'll never buy any Apple product because of this. Their products are nice, but it's a shame about the logo![]()

Is there really any need for this? You don't see me going into all the windows threads posting about how crap they are. And just to beat you to it, I did indirectly post something in Alex's thread about Windows but that was just a friendly joke. Nobody cares if you dislike mac's, just go use your windows and get on with your geeky little life, NOBODY CARES!!!
At first I suppose it is a bit like wth... But it's a well known fact that they are easier to use so I don't really see how your still not used to them.![]()

Foxconn has nothing to do with Windows. You have no idea what you're talking about and you should let the tech guys chat about Foxconn being useless, go do some fantastic easy film editing and let us talk about what really matters: hardware. Is there really any need for this? My Dell 23" display has a higher x resolution than Apple's 24" display, and although my monitor isn't LED it does cost £450 LESS.To be known for having higher class products, you have to make the best and highest quality product you can but not only charge for the product itself but the name/logo that comes with it.
