That's because swearing was filtered by habbo.

But I wouldn't say we were strict in the sense of all the bans that you have nowadays.

If you were rude you were given several chances then kicked. Simple.

You even have room bans now if Jin is on.

You hardly have 'hardcore' users to deal with, just light stuff really I've seen it, we had pleke yet we still didnt enforce the rules so tightly.

Yet you still have staff members who say their main job is moderating the desk?

I can't emphasise how this is so wrong.

If that's the case, close it as a Help Desk and keep it as a lounge.

We didnt even have bans in 06 and we had people like pleke, joe, ryan, alex.

The swearing rule was not removed when Sulake removed the language filter. It was removed months after when Joe was manager.

Because help desks were popular in 06 so more people used it, more people scripted and people got bans for scripting drinks and such iirc.

Jin brought them back im sure and everyone knew they were going to fail, it was inevitable.

also whoever said bans are lighter now, they aren't only thing you really done was change bans from 3 warnings to 2?

Oli, when I was a trialist I remember you being in the HxHD room and a girl came in and said, "I'm pregnant". You told her to "GET THE **** OUT" and kicked her. I think that's pretty willy nilly

But in 2006 staff had more flexibility to maneuver when it came to who got kicked and banned from the room. Which was really unfair to some guests, because different staffmembers had totally different standards of how they'd moderate the room.

Also, because Sulake has lossened on some of their rules (such as removing the language filter), and because Habbo Moderation is not as active as it was in 2006 there are more trollers and troublemakers now in 2009 than there were in 2006. Resorting to old standards would unfortunately no longer work, because times have certainly changed.
