Kalphite help

In my first slayer assignment i've got to kill 49 kalphite.
I went to the dessert and apparently their in an underground tunnel.
Can anyone tell me how to get there and how do you kill them?

as soon as you come through the shantay pass head west and u have to use a rope with the entrance to get in :] and just melee them thats probly fastest unless you have a cannon

Cannon is kinda a waste of cannon balls though.

Bring anti poison if you want to fight the kalphite guards or soldiers, anyway the ones stronger than normal kalphites.
