Depends what you do, fire Strikes to 17 then chaos all the way. Should get you to about 45-50

Mate you will go higher than lvl 50 iam lvl 50 after a month and i only use fire strike

The best way is just to cast the best spell you can all the way up to fire bolt, when you can cast fire bolt I would stick with it, chaos runes are cheaper and it saves you time buying stuff. Most people only sell deaths in large amounts anyway.
I don't know what level you'll be though.

Assuming you bought 4,000 Chaos runes for 400k and used a fire staff and crafted a whole lot of airs, Hmmmmmmmm

Fnd a calculator on a site, trype in your current mage exp. then it would tell you how many spells of a certain kind you'll need to do

Probably Fire Strike,then FireBolt or you could go and kill some Zombies/Ghosts etc with Crumble Undead.
