The number can be fake, but I'm not sure if there is a rule against this.
Just use a real number to be safe as much as possible

There's no harm in trying, if you can't make it up, just enter a real one, but if others say you can make it up, I guess you can.

i think its supposed to match, they might check it up in suspicious cases maybe. but if u regularly put the right one in and then occasionally put a different jst say if you questioned about it you were gona use that particular number until you found you had no credit. and used a different one.

actually, its probably if there is a problem with the service adn they ened confirmation or summit.
