Why you think Britain is overcrowded or not: The birth rate in Britain is declining, less children are being born each year, so in a few years we will have less people. Like when your parents were little they came from a 5 child family, now days its only about 2 children per couple. We aren't gonna get overcrowded. We need more British children born. Sure at the moment it may be crowded but eventually it won't.

Why you think Britain is overcrowded or not: When compared to places like China - who are seriously ocercrowded and inforce laws on how many children a family can have then deffinetly no.

I think we should say no to immigrants.

Why you think Britain is overcrowded or not: Well, it is in some ways like cities will be packed and people cramped in small streets with cars parking everywhere, and then you have so much country side?
But then again, no because as Dave said the birth rate is going down so it will decrease over years time.
Being populated cities isn't bad, it's just there is so much other space? :S

Why bla bla bla: All europe is overcrowed, there are people coming from everywhere and even though the european people don't have much children, the people that come here do so they are kind of taking over the country. That's what it is in The Netherlands whrere I come from, we have lots of turks and they have more children, the only reason that the netherlands are groing in birthrate is because the turks are here. (I don't have anything against turks unless they are violent or kill us like some did)

Mainly 'cause the birth rate may be declining, but the population is still big for a country this size. Plus a lot of people are coming in.

I would add more, but I'm lazy.

Why you think Britain is overcrowded or not:

Even though Dave answers a very valuable point, I look at the fact that Shell Shocked Prescott recently unveiled plans to build 300, 000 new homes on flood plains around the Thames Estuary. More green land being turned over to fuel the growth of housing. At that rate soon Britain will be one big town lol.
Joey you raise a very common approach to the issue of Immigration but we require there services for economic purposes, and of course we can provide a safe haven for the people who are escaping persecution.
I think that whilst we should welcome people to our country, there is a limit to the amount we can help, and that people wishing to move to Britain should try at least to adopt our culture in certain aspects. Im not tarring everyone with the same brush - far from it, but some people who come to Britain take advantage of our health service, and social security and I think thats simply wrong.
