Default Infractions... "insulting a member of Habbox"

I have recently realised that calling someone a "noob" is supposidly insulting them.

Noob is normally short for newbie... and it's basically like they know nothing about it.

The reason why I am asking about this is that it has come to my attention most Habbox rules are more strict than HabboHotel it's-self.

This is bad, because without HabboHotel, Habbox would not be here. HabboHotel have to be very strict with people, so that they cannot be "sued" or something like that... this is what the worlds' coming to today, 1 SMALLEST mistake and you can sue someone.

Now, is it fair that you can call someone a "noob" on Habbo, not being completely insulting, and the MODs doing nothing about it, but on HabboxForum they do?
I think this is a bit silly, and over-the-top, because it's quite hard to ALWAYS stick by the rules. There's so many, that you forget sometimes.

Depends how you use it really. Its up to a moderator to decide whether its being rude/insulting to another member or not .

If you think the infraction was unfair, you can report it using the "Infraction Problems" thread and hope that a super moderator will reverse it .

Mods on habbo and mods on this forum cannot be compared. Habbo is a much larger community and the mods have much more important things to do than warning everybody who calls each other a noob, there are many scammers and other crazy people that need to be dealth with.
Moderators on this forum try to keep the community as clean as possible, people who call each other noobs isn't a very nice thing to look at and it can lead to arguements, therefore people get infracted.

Noob isn't used as newbie anymore, pretty much everybody knows that. Noob is now used as an insult, just like a word for a female dog is now used as an insult.

nub and noob are classed as insulting

newb or newbie means new to a community

so i would have thought that getting an infraction for calling someone a noob is appropriate because its insulting

Noob used to be hackersspeak for newbie, but because people were trying to be cool they used it and it developed into an insult.
Just like 1337 is hackersspeak for elite.
So he was right that noob means newbie, but it doesn't anymore, it's an insult now.
Not sure if it was hackersspeak, but I think it was.
