lol, if the rep is grey he doesn't have rep power, you still have the same ammount of rep points.
Just bad rep him back and say he doesn't have rep power and that you rep him back for the same reason he bad repped you. :p[CENTER]Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.

It's when the person who repped you doesn't have enough rep power to effect your rep total.
I think you need 100 reps to be able to effect someones rep total, not 100% sure though..
