There are hundreds of members with a username with 3 or less characters. And none of us can search for posts or threads we're in because the text is 'too short'
Why not shorten it?

Its best to go to that person's profile and click "find other posts from person x".

what if he cant find them online or a recent post.
Well there is a member list in which he can find them, course if they are banned then that won't work.
Well what if i wanted a three letter name, but i cant search on the memberlist as they could be banned..
Errrm, then you would have to look through old posts until you find them.
I dunno if you could get around that. Which I suppose goes back to the topic of the thread that the search tool has it's limits.
Well yeah, unless we requested and the VIP editors tried to change our names, they'll soon find out but thats creating more time to waste which they dont want.
I'm not really bothered though on vbulletin.org it does really annoy me when im searching, luckly i dont search often on here, only to look through the users posts not actually the users themselfs.
Yeah I also want it some times that we can search for words that are 3 characters long, maybe we should try it and see if it doesn't crash / overload the forum.
Agreed. I think that it should be lowered as it always bugs and bugged me.
It works fine if you enter the name and press space in they key word(s) part. Everybody uses spaces so you should see all the posts.![]()
