What are you planning on doing for bonfire night?

Does your local area hold an event and have a bonfire with fireworks etc?

My town had our annual bonfire last night, had a half hour fireworks display which I think cost like £8000 haha! The bonfire was bigger than usual made out of like 3000 pallets and almost burnt us to death, set fire to the grass which was hillarious. Had a pork bap, was yum!

well it really doesnt interest me, plus work the next day, but the football club literally a second down the road always has one, so if I did actually want to I could watch that from my window.

Do Ireland not do bonfire night?

I'm sure fireworks are illegal iirc but thought your councils would do something

We have a few local places holding firework displays each weekend for 3 weeks starting yesterday.

I'll be going for a bike ride during the day and going with a friend to watch one of the displays at the seafront next Saturday.
Then we're camping out in the evening and returning home on Sunday afternoon after lunch.
