I got the collectors edition, aint touched multiplayer. I never play MP until I finish the campaign. But when I do go on to it I will have a FG42 and M1A1 Carbine at level 1, plus a coloured clan tag when I unlock it at level 11.

Got CoD5 this morning, and after playing MP:BETA I must admit I was really looking forward to it. It seemed like it could at least equal Modern Warfare.

First thing that disappointed me was the length of the campaign. It took me under 5 hours of NON solid playing to finish it on hardened. I wish I'd gone straight into veteran to be honest. So I decided to start it on Veteran and let me tell you, if you though Modern Warfare Veteran was easy, you haven't seen anything yet.

On to the good points, I must admit Zombie mode is pretty good addition (possibly get boring quickly?) and the multiplayer campaign is another good addition. Sadly online it hasn't exactly improved a lot. Still seems to be a lot of inbalance with certain guns being superior to others (think M16) and the maps which were originally supposed to stop the gun and run players of CoD 4 encourage the same thing. The tanks allow **** players to 'call in the dogs' and 6 rocket's to destroy is pretty unreasonable.

The game had the potential to be so great, the campaign's story while being the traditional WW2 theme has the potential to be great, just a shame the finished product isn't.

But for £27 from Asda it's a good deal, but I would have been disappointed if I'd paid the full £40.

It's harder then you think when there is more then one of you, because then you need to pick them up and it's risky cos you can get killed and such. Plus we didn't think out any tactics.

I was playing Burn 'em Up (thats the one with the mortar pits on the beach?) with mates and I know where you're coming from with the pick them up bit, but if you don't all run out like nutters infront of enemy snipers and machine gunners you should be fine.

We was actually sticking together most of the time but it's hard to not get down when you get bombarded with grenades and shot at with turrets ;)

So far I've been really impressed with the new Call of Duty, it's very similar to COD4 which is surely a good thing and the game play is still immense. I've spent about 5-6 hours on it so far and it's been really good, the multiplayer that is, haven't tried the single player.

I'd recommend it, there's very few improvements over COD4 and I'm not sure if it's better, but if you enjoyed COD4 you'll like WaW I'm sure.

The only disappointment I've had is Hardcore Search & Destroy, the newb tubes and snipers can wipe you out within seconds of the game beginning and the other contrasting disappointment is that it can be rather boring, most people just camp in lame positions and don't bother planting the bomb, they just sit there and it's so annoying. I suspect it has something to do with the maps rather than the people playing it.

It's alright but there are too many American nerds who are level 50ish and stuff already and you just keep dying as soon as you spawn :S It's annoying, I may just stick to campaign/zombie mode then probably trade it in as I have Gears 2..

It's really good but multiplayer just doesn't feel the same.I think it finally gets going after an hour or two, when you get to know the maps and freedom of weapons & perks it's okay. And when you begin getting tactical & devising plans it really gets going.

I must admit though I hardly used Snipers or SMGs on Call of Duty 4 but I'm using them far more on World at War. The Assault Rifle's just don't compare to the good ol' G3, M16 & M4 Carbine :P

Go Get Some Sun - You achieved the highest level in the game (Level 65 10th Prestige). Time to go outside and find somethings to do.

It's All about Prestige - You achieved the first level of Prestige. Only 9 more to go.

1. Stainless Steel canteen: Neat but it's not a canteen. It says right on the bag it's wrapped in that it's not intended for use. The lid is also glued on so you can't even try it if you wanted to. And as a bonus it's very, very small.

2. The "Day 1 Edge" of having the FG42 machine gun unlocked: This gun is not unlocked as it states. They simply replaced the regular machine gun with this one in the pre-made class. Who uses the normal pre-made classes once you unlock create-a-class? No one. This is extremely misleading.

3. Double XP week: You might think that you'd have this right away. That is not the case. They have not announced when this will happen. So any thoughts that you might have had about buying the game and getting double XP right away are gone.

4. Unique Clan Tag color: Nope. This "unique" color is just yellow, the same color that your gamertag shows up as in the game lobby. And you can't change it which does not make it "unique" in any way.

Its a bonus mode you achieve/get after finishing the story mode.
4 player co-op is available with it aswell and you need to fight off whordes or Nazi zombies. I believe your able to gain points to buy different weapons and re-build your fortress.
Sorta similar to the plane mission on cod 4, seeing as its a bonus.
I havent quite completed the story mode yet but I'm close.
I'm at level 31 online tho :D which I dont think is too bad.

The cutscenes from the game are good, some might look a little brutal, but their also there for the educational factor aswell. Nazi's weren't the worst people during the war, the Japanese were.

Basically in CoD4 when you jumped and then immediatly crouched you couldnt shoot in between.
In CoD5 now you can so you can jump and then crouch while shooting while you fall down. You need to change the layout to tactical but you'll get used to it.

That's what I play with anyway, it's so much easier as while I'm turning with the right stick I can also click to crouch, Bx told me about that one back in cod4 days.

na its a psh or soemthing you get around 54 or soemthing. i went through all 10 last time and found myself playing it way too much and even becoming addicting at one point.

Dont get me wrong, I had fun prestiging 10 times on cod 4. Its just that I dont find the cod 5 online as fun. So I dont wanna play it as much so when I do go on I dont wanna have to level up instead of just using what i earnt.

It's great when you haven't unlocked it but when it comes to that moment it really does suck, recoil is terrible. I might not prestige, mess around on it get upto 10k+ kills and then trade it in as I'm working on 10th prestige for Call of Duty 4 as it's fun now and the next cod is a Modern Warfare aswell so no point with 5. :S

Yeah, you can't play dead, go up trees and some others, because Treyarch were saying people would be shooting all the bodies and shooting the trees which wasn't the way Treyarch wanted to make the game. More about stealth than shooting randomly.

Breaking Point is easier than shooting japan in a barrel... had a look at Downfall on Veteran, impossible. Heart of the Reich is impossible too, I'm litterally on the last 2 88s, and I've been trying to storm them for half an hour.

I did Ruthless and Sum of all Zeroes though, thank god.

Is it because Cod World at War, you got level 65 in two days and for 55 on CoD4 it'd take about 4 days? You don't wanna rush through the prestige sets too quick eh, and it's obvious you're only in it for the golden goons.
