To my memory the times it's been shut down for bullying it's been older members (Beer/Lolly/Lee most prominently) who were the targets. I haven't actually seen much unpleasantness recently, possibly because any harsh words now get you cautioned, but any disliking of posts/members seems to be down to their personality not just their age
Well it ought to be, respect is something that you get from other people for your words and actions so if it's not reviewed and decided upon by other people I can't see what definition you can give to it
Absolutely. The "golden era" was when there were cliques and member hierarchies and less nonsense about how we're somehow all equal. I'm not saying we should encourage fighting and abuse or that such things would give any more life to the forum (although I guess it's quite possible), but to suggest people are being too mean NOW of all times for areas like spam to thrive is ridiculous
