Idiot isn't a swear word and can be used in a non-offensive concept. For instance "George Osborne announced the budget today he really is an idiot". Should you say "shut up idiot" then you will be punished under moderation, therefore no Niamh, you don't win.

No because that is hardcore swearing and quite gross. Calling someone a d!ck or d!ckhead is not exactly the crime of the century and I have never heard anybody say 'Oh D!ck' as in swearing although I do hear lots of people say 'Oh ****! '

It's still in the filter as the majority of the time the word dick is used as slang for penis or as an insult. No other word that can be used as an insult in any manner is unfiltered and this is the line we will continue to follow. ****, ffs, fml, freakin, fricken, frigging, piss etc - cannot be used as an insult "You bollock", "you piss" etc - whereas "You absolute dick" (one I've seen on this forum before) is.

"You arse hole" and "you ass hole" contains two words that can be used as an insult So obviously the system you have in place can allow dick as these all fall into the sex-related swears. Again, you do not appear to be making any valid points to keep the word filtered :/

At the end of the day Gomme, I don't need valid points I can simply say "Jin wants it filtered so it's staying filtered" but I choose to explain why, the main uses of arse and ass on this forum, are once again not insulting whereas the main uses of **** would be. It's not happening.

Honestly who cares if its 'technically' a swear word. Its someones name and díck can be used in a non-offensive concept aswell, such as a name. Should you say "You're a díck" howveer, then you will be punished under moderation. Therefore oli, i do win.

No, you don't win because the MAIN USE of the d word is for an insult. You also don't win because it isn't getting unfiltered. This thread is going round in circles, the issue Richie posted about (dickbarry) has been resolved and I'm not wasting my time arguing with users about something which will quite simply, not be changing.
