kk so folks we have a love triangle now they been rescued possibly anyway!!! Both those theories could be true, and I really think that's what might end up happening.
As for the bold bit, Jack I believe said "Because I love you" as a reason that he was sticking up for Sawyer's actions towards Kate. 'I love you' and 'I'm in love with you' are completely different, one's friendly the other is much deeper. Or at least that was the way I saw it...
I think Jack was once 'in love' with Kate, but he seems to be more into Juliet since she changed sides, so I think the 'I love you' was more of a love from a friend with reassurance. Might just be me over analysing but meh..

I think Jack's dad definitely is dead. I watched it again last night and I realised that when the other doctor confronts him in the hospital and Jack asks him to get his dad down there, the doctor looks extremely confused as if he is out of is mind. Plus, the doctor refers to himself as something like the "director of surgery" and i'm sure thats what Christian Shepard (Jack's dad) used to be.. so I think he actually is dead, and Jack's just very bemused & too drunk to realise what he was saying. He always used to blame his problems on his Dad.. but now he's not there he has nobody to blame them on?

Charlie was meant to die. I've said this before too. If Charlie didn't die, then Claire and Aaron wouldn't be saved. This is correct 'cause when Desmond and co when running off into the jungle to find Penny, well, Naomi. I thought that desmond hadnt actually seen penny in his flash just the picture of him and penny so he assumed that it must of been her because only the two of them had that picture. So technically as long as charlie turned the switch, him not dying wouldnt have neccesarily meant that they wouldnt get rescused. If not they still could of given him a better exit than that. There are polar bears, smoke monsters, DHARMA Sharks, a magnetic polarity that smashed a plane by 3? Desmond getting flashes, The island's healing powers, Jacob, may I go on to show you how long its been unrealistic?

These flashforwards have taken away the unpredictability. Like now we know that kate and jack definately get off the island. Unless they have made them knowing that they may be liable to change but that would be just stupid.
In regards to Lost being unrealistic well i dont know i suppose when it ends and we know what it actually is then we can look back and say well that bit was soo unlikely to happen in that situation etc. But until then these "unrealistic" happenings just leave us with more and more questions.

#2 They needed something that will impact viewers enough to keep them interested until the new season
#3 It wasn't all that bad, people assume flashbacks/flashforwards are peoples memories but they're just information given to the viewer. There is no "current" time in this world - it's all a story.

People need to stop looking for some philosophical revelation regarding the show. The show isn't built on that, it's built on character growth and character transformation.

I really hope they give us some answers next season instead of more questions. And I hope we find out more about Penny. She just seems to appear for a few seconds on the last episode on every damn season. They need to stop repeating the same cliff hangers every season. We waited after season 2 to find out what pennys people had discovered at the end of season 2. we found out nothing.

They said we find out more about michael and walt ... we found out nothing? For all we know, Walt could have been a illusion (when john saw him)

Sawyer Kate and Jack are probably what reels in the most ratings. The popularity of the Lost-ships pretty much proves that to a certain extent. If they killed any of them any time soon, you might just see a drastic plunge in ratings - even worse than what it is already.

Meh. I just think that the writers needed something for a cliffhanger. I personally think s3 was crap. S2 ending ... they brought in desmonds gf and we saw michael and walt leave. s3 - we saw desmonds gf again for a few seconds and walt.
They just keep repeating the cliffhangers. And every season, they arent answering any questions, they are just giving us more questions.

As I said earlier, no it doesn't answer that.. not necessarily. They haven't actually answered anything for certain thats what Lost is about. Nothing is dead set on because there are so many possibilities.

I just finished rewatching the last 5 episodes..

You know the last bit of the finale episode where Kate and Jack know talking to eachother outside at the airport.
I think its a preview of the coming season, (should be after they get rescued) as hes talking about "Kate, We have to go back".

I guess Jack, Kate and maybe more probably got rescued but had to leave the other people behind. And now jack is convincing Kate to go back to rescue the remaining losties.

Eight eps of the 16-ep fourth season have been filmed, but exec producer Damon Lindelof wants filming on the lot to be finished before we see them. This could mean no new Lost until September 2008.

Its awful same with 24 aswell thats finished filming till they come off strike. :(
