Normal manga size. Around 170-200 pages, around 10/11 chapters per volume. I bought the manga boxset from Amazon, well, my mum did. I bought volume 22 from Waterstones. All volumes are available very cheap on Amazon.

Hopefully Viz will start releasing volumes in bulk like they did with Naruto, because waiting three months for a volume when you know they already have them completed in advance just plain sucks.

Also, some of the translation in the manga is really stupid. They call a Cero a Doom Blast. First time I read it I had to look again to make sure. A Doom Blast, what the hell!? Also, I'm sure I've already said it before, but they call Ichigo strawberry just because Ichigo means strawberry in Japanese, although it is an actual Japanese name as well. The translators should actually look at what to translate before they do it. I hate it when they end up translating names, it pisses me off. -_-

Yeah, I hate Toshiro. How he was voted the most popular Bleach character, and 7th most popular character in any anime for that matter is beyond me.

In order to promote the second film of Bleach, the trailer had the line "Execute Hitsugaya!". Kubo admitted that it was his own idea to make everybody be surprised, but he and Masakazu Morita, the voice actor of Ichigo Kurosaki, received a lot of letters from worried fans, causing Kubo to apologize in response.

It's easy to hate Chad and Ishida but I quite like Renji. At least he stands a chance in some situations, has Bankai etc. But Chad and Ishida are basically fighting a losing battle in the current arc as was proved from they're fight with Szayel Aporro Granz - they tried everything and failed badly. I've never really liked Chad (it's quite funny looking back when he tried to take down Shunsui in Soul Society arc given that Shunsui is now fighting the Primera Espada - ambitious much? :D)
I just like Rukia because of the first arc, I liked her back then and it's still my favourite arc but she's not really in the show as much now, she's given the same amount if not less air time than Chad, Ishida and Inoue who are globally hated.

Renji used to be ranked quite high, even getting to 3rd and 4th in the character polls but he dropped out of the top 10 a while ago so I doubt he'd get a movie.

Anyway, Renji is like the definition of cool.
Ishida is awesome because he always exceeds our expectations. He could fight on par with a captain in my opinion.
Chad started off really cool, but then he became seriously underused so everyone started to dislike him. I laughed at how he had five seconds of screen time in the second Bleach movie.
I wouldn't say Rukia is at a captains level. She just happened to take out that balls espada because he was a total *****. How he was ranked higher than Yammy, who was beating the **** out of Ichigo, is beyond me. She's unseated because Byakuya's a ***** or something. Ikkaku is stronger than her and he's ranked 3rd in the the 11st squad, or was it 4th... Actually that's a stupid comparison because he's strong enough to be a captain. Wow I just realised Ikkaku needs more screen time man! He's cool! Dunno who to compare Rukia to, but she isn't as strong as a captain.

I thought Komamura was quite cool but his character often sides with Yamamoto who we know makes stupid desiscions 24/7, but I think you're overrating Ikkaku. Yes he is a great character but he isn't that suited to a captain rank. He struggled against that unranked Arrancar, then again so did Toshirou lol.
Ye Ichigo has been offscreen a lot but I suppose that's all on par with this (probably) final arc fitting in all the characters. Still, even in the manga he's only JUST coming back into it this coming week and it'll take a long time with all the fights to get to that point in the anime. I think I could use a break from him though and Inoue. :@

If this is the last Bleach arc, then it's gonna feel really weird having no Bleach to wait for each week, and none to discuss. :P I've been disappointed with it a lot lately, but I don't want it to finish. I kinda wish that filler arc lastest a bit longer so they wouldn't have to recap for five minutes every episode as well, encase they started to get too close to the manga.

Gin is a lazy bum who would rather spend his entire day reading JUMP than doing anything else, Ichigo gives up his whole life to become a Soul Reaper.

Kagura is not Orihime! Take that back! Now! Kagura kicks ass, shes like the strongest person in the entire anime, how is she Orihime! Plus she's funny, Orihime is just stupid. Oh wow Kagura is actually Rukia in the picture, not Orihime. That's a better comparison, but still far off.

Shinpachi may look like Ishida, but you'll find his personality is quite different later on in the series.

I suppose it's not another level but with it;
He ended the fight quickly and without any difficulty.

About Yoruichi's Zanpaktou, I can vaguely remember them showing it in the flashbacks to when she was captain but that could have been in the manga or anime I can't really remember. Although it's fair to presume she does have one. :P

I've only read the first volume so far. It's actually bringing back a lot of good memories from when I first starting watching Bleach, and witnessing the Soul Society arc again will be a treat. :P I'm gonna pay in some money tomorrow, and then buy Bleach 23 - 25. Checks take like three days to clear though I think, so I'll have to wait 'til friday. Which is a pain. Have you read all of the manga? Or did you just pick it up from where it left off when the fillers started? That's what I did at first, but then I decided that if I was going to read the manga, I want to start from the beginning. :P

No I went back to the beginning too. It's great going through the SS arc. Some scenes come across much better too I felt because obviously they can asign whole page spreads to one character for something much more iconic. The small intros by the author are quite funny too. :D

Have you read it all up to 339 then? What's Ichigo vs Grimmjow like in the manga? Their first fight. I so wanna read that part, but I want to wait 'til I actually get to it. :P Also, I agree. Scenes often come across better in manga because of the way they're constructed, and the double page spreads. Damn, do I love those double page spreads! I bet theres gonna be one for Ichigo's bankai, I actually can't wait lol. The double page spreads in Death Note were epic as hell. Poor Watari though, only got half a page when he died but L got like 3 whole pages of him falling off a chair. :P Claymore has some really decent double page spreads as well.

Ye I think I must've read it up to 339. The grimmjow fight is brilliant, the anime serves it well but it is very good in the manga too. Don't worry about the 2 page spreads either, they come up for everything. I seem to remember Urahara having many whole pages dedicated to him and his 'look'. :P
I remember that with Watari! He totally wasn't given enough respect. In the live action films though, I think when L. died he had a picture of Watari in his hands. :(

Just ordered volume 23 and 24 from Amazon, along with volume 1 of Gintama. :D By the looks of the covers, volume 23 is Ikkaku's bankai and volume 24 is Grimmjow vs Ichigo. Woohoo!

That said, I wish L and Watari's relationship was explored more in the anime/manga.

Also, new Bleach chapter is out I think. Doesn't look like much of a chapter, however. I hate the 20 page restrictions.

It strikes me as somewhat implausable that Ichigo survived a cero square on without his mask whereas before, even with it he was easily defeated by Ulquiorra. All those Kurosaki-kuns keep him strong as an oxe.

I was just thinking about what happens after the Zaraki fight and I can't help thinking that the anime is really far behind the manga now because there's loads of fights to come which they can milk and pad out with 'Kurosaki-kuns' and that ilk.

Maybe because I watched the first 35 episodes of Bleach in two days, but Orihime and Chad have only just got their powers in volume five, they won't be in Soul Society until like volume eight. :O Also, reading the manga has made me realise that a lot of the plot points have been forgotten. You remember that ribbon thing Ichigo did to find Chad's bird? Rukia was like 'omg only high level soul reapers can do that, can he really be evolving so fast, etc' but that was never seen or mentioned ever again. :P Theres a ton more that I picked up on while reading but I can't remember them right now. Also, I don't get Kido. How come sometimes they say a whole verse from the Bible and then say the name of the attack, but other times they just say the name without the whole essay. Does it make a difference? If not, why do they say the massive verse most of the time?

Most probably just a continuity error. Rukia used the verse for Blue fire once I think but from then on just said it's name. A time saver most likely. The incantations are still acknowledged though because I seem to remember Gin marvelling that Aizen could use a level 90 Hado without incantation.

I'm dissapointed! Grimmjow vs Ichigo in the manga is kinda lame. Toshiro, Matusmoto, Ikkaku and Renji's fights make the whole volume, Grimmjow and Ichigo only get a few pages. The part where Grimmjow continiously punches Ichigo in the face isn't in the manga either. Which is really disappointing because it's the best part!

Episode 201 was GOOOOOOOOOD! Finally a whole episode of Zaraki. It's been a pretty amazing fight so far, but not the best. Zaraki's awesomeness just makes it 100 times better than it is already though. I like how he can block a cero with his hand. :8

Ichigo asking if having more arms is possible was one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. He's seen things 100 times stranger than that.

Also, where is Nel!? Didn't Orihime heal her first because Ichigo told her too? Need moar Nel. I want her to have a proper fight in her released form, because just seeing how she would fight as a centaur would be cool.

I was just going over 340 again (seeing if 341 was out - it is not :() and thinking about Chad. Idk why he doesn't just use his Attack arm all the time slaying Hollows and the like because he might as well, get the job done quicker and easier. You could argue that obviously someone wouldn't use their full potential the whole time but he might as well push himself.
Thinking about it I'd quite like it if he developed more powers because obviously there's room for improvement and he has "different" abilities.

202 was vGood. firstly they switched back to the normal opening, the one that doesn't spoil the movie, which was a plus. Then the fight was good because there wasn't too much talk in the middle and it stayed true to the manga. The ending of the ep was good too, I like it when they look deeper into characters even if the aren't main.

Wow. Episode 202 was REALLY good. The fight was entertaining, Zaraki is just badass, Neliel and Nnoitra's short backstory is just awesome and I loved the ending. I get the feeling that while Nnoitra and Neliel may hate each other, they have a kind of special relationship, and they actually don't want to see each other dead. I hope Stark is in the next episode. Stark! Stark! Stark!

Manga Spoiler; Btw, do you think Aizen has the Hougyoku(sp) on him? Wouldnt it be stupid of him to leave it in Hueco Mundo given that the only person left to protect it is Ulquiorra and he'd have to fend off 7 Captain-level officers and Ichigo who are all sealed in with him because if they got hold of it, wouldn't Orihime just reverse it's existance and turn the Espada back to Adjuchas (as far as we can tell none of them were Vasto Lorde), though that would also turn the Visard back to Soul Reapers, or kill them.

I started reading the manga when the last filler arc started, but stopped reading after Zaraki's fight because it looked like it was getting proper amazing, so I wanted to see it in the anime before I read it in the manga. I'm currently reading the manga starting from the beginning, up to volume seven so far.

Watch the preview for the next episode, it's filler. Look on wikipedia for episode 205, that's also filler. Turn Back the Pendulum starts at episode 206.

Wouldnt it be stupid of him to leave it in Hueco Mundo given that the only person left to protect it is Ulquiorra and he'd have to fend off 7 Captain-level officers and Ichigo who are all sealed in with him because if they got hold of it, wouldn't Orihime just reverse it's existance and turn the Espada back to Adjuchas (as far as we can tell none of them were Vasto Lorde), though that would also turn the Visard back to Soul Reapers, or kill them.

That's true, but when Nel was #3, Stark, Barragan & Halibel most likely weren't espada at the time. Meaning they came in later as Vasto Lorde's (most likely) and the same should be assumed about #4 because Nnoitra is #5 and is power hungry, so he is the top of the Adjuchas.

And considering Aizen had special jobs for the top 4 espada, that would mean a big difference in power between #4 and #5

Pretty much anywhere. It's the dubbed episodes that are hard to find. Try veoh, megavideo, imeem, etc. Just search 'watch bleach subbed' into Google and a ton of results will show up.

Damn, Viz are pissing me off! Their manga translations are annoying me! If changing things around on Bleach wasn't enough, they changed one of most important aspects of Gintama!

Theres this guy in Gintama who's basically a king among losers and everyone calls him a "madao". Which comes from the phrase "maru de dame na ossan" which basically means useless old man. BUT instead of explaining that SIMPLE meaning, they change the word entirely from madao to dork! Do they even know how big of a plot point the word madao is!? Why do they Americanize everything and WHY do they feel the need to change as much as they can. People who read manga want it to remain in the traditional format as much as possible, they want to be able to understand the Japanese words and meanings used. Damn! It pisses me off. How come when it comes to the anime and manga industry, the fan translations are ALWAYS better. ALWAYS! The fan translators kept madao in, so why can't the official tanslators!

LOL, I think 47 is the one with Hedoro or whatever he's called. I loved that episode. :P 48 is also bloody hilarious. Loads of references in that episode as well. Episode 49 involves Hasegawa, so you know it's gonna be good. Wait 'til you get to episode 50 though... Hilarious I tell you, hilarious! You're kinda near the first proper serious arc as well. That starts at episode 58, and ends at episode 62. My god is it good.

He beat Byakuya, he beat Kariya, he beat Zaraki, he beat Grimmjow, etc. In shonens, It's very rare for someone except the main character to beat one of the main villains. Plus after all the build up and the rivalry between Ichigo and Ulquiorra it would be against the law for anyone but Ichigo to win.
