Wow, I'm really liking these turn back the pendulum episodes. I'm glad I chose not to read this part in the manga. It's nice just to watch the plot develop without any fighting as well and it's a nice break from Bleach's usual pace. Also, damn Shinji is badass. Aizen was a shady guy right from the start, eh.

Oh yeah I completely forgot that Urahara learned bankai in three days... I'm nearly at the part in the manga now. I read four volumes all in a row last week. The Soul Society arc is just so enjoyable.

Oh and my speed has risen from 40kB/s to 70kB/s. My 2gb download has sevens minutes left. :P Think I'll lay off download anything for a bit now though, I've got a ton of stuff to watch, listen to and play. :8

Kensei is voiced by Tomokazu Sugita! Noticed straight away! Gintoki! :D Gintama and Bleach share so many voice actors and actresses. Also, young Byakuya looks like Kyuubei from Gintama who is voiced by the same seiyu who voices Rukia in Bleach. Coincidence much!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Isn't it episode 114 when Orihime gets slapped? That Orihime slap was so dramatic and awesome but that damn Number One song ruined it for me. Don't forget though, that slap was shown in a flash back when Ichigo was getting the **** punched out of him by Grimmjow in episode 121. It cannot be beaten!

The slap wasn't dedicated to that episode, it was simply in that episode. It's also in episode 121, with some proper dramatic music accompanying it and it's also in black and white which makes it even more dramatic, and Ichigo is getting destroyed by Grimmjow at the same time. That's why episode 121 kicks ass!

The recent fillers were actually pretty good by the way. I haven't read the manga past where the anime is at right now, but there appears to be a little non-filler material in there as well, so you might not want to miss it.

Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow! I love the new opening even though Neliel isn't in it! It feels very different from the other ones, it's quite strange, but also familiar in a way. I also like how this time 'round they only show the good guys. The ending is also pretty good. As for the episode, it's back to the main storyline but nothing really happened.

It's really that bad. This is all based on tomorrow's chapter's spoiler though. I can deal with drawn out chapters to a point but if the next chapter's spoilers turn out to be real then it really is turning to **. Do you want me to say what the spoilers are saying? I wont if you don't want to hear but it's funny as. By spoilers they just mean the raw copy. Not even scanlations, just pictures from jump. They come out every week and they have been true for the past few weeks. I think it'll be funny if it's true.
Yeah Urahara owned him, so did Yoruichi and Ulquiorra not to mention Ichigo lol. The thing is, he says his number changes when he releases his zanpaktou which he didn't do in any of those fights.

So many plot holes. What annoys me is that so much effort was put into building up the characters of the top three espada and then revealing their ranks was a big mystery, then it feels like a kick in the teeth when he just announces that there's someone stronger. There's also gonna be stuff regarding Halibel and Toshiro so given the ridiculous nature of this chapter I'm sure he'll find a way to win. :(

Indeed. Yammy is lame, got his arm cut of by Ichigo and the **** beaten out of him by Yoruichi and Urahara. No one cares about him. I hear Helibel's release is going to be in the next chapter. Wonder if that'll be any good.

-Team was sent out to look into strange deaths of shinigami
-Kensei + Mashiro were in the team along with Tousen and other random shinigmi
-Team members start getting stabbed by Tousen using his Bankai, Kensei included (Kensei is a captain established by this point and Mashiro is his VC)
-Hiyori goes to find the team, Kensei etc, and is attacked by a hollowficated Kensei
-Meanwhile, Yamamoto sets up a team to go and look for Kensei etc consisting of; Shinji, Love, Rose, Lisa and Hachi
-Shinji saves Hiyori while the others get kicked in by Kensei, eventually saved by Hachi's Kido
-They all then begin to Hollify just as Aizen shows up w/ Gin and Tousen
-Aizen says something about test subjects then makes to kill Shinji only to be interupted by Urahara, accompanied by Tessai (Captain of the Kido Corps)
-Urahara talks to Aizen, accusing him of Hollofication research. Aizen catches on that Urahara obviously has dabbled in that as well but doesn't explicitly mention so
-Aizen tries to walk away from Urahara only to be attacked by Tessai with some mad Kido. Aizen skips the incantation for his own mad kido and easily blocks Tessai's
-Tessai used more mad kido to teleport everyone back to Urahara's lab where Urahara attempts to reverse the hollification w/ the hogyouku
-The next day all the visards are alive but still have their masks on& are unconcious
-Urahara is arrested and taken to Central court 46 along with Tessai where they are both exiled; Urahara for the alleged hollification of the visards (framed by Aizen who used his Shikai as an aliby) and Tessai for using forbidden Kido to transport the visards
-Yoruichi breaks in and takes Tessai and Urahara away to the cave used to train Ichigo for bankai where she has also moved all the Visards
-Urahara makes plans to hide out in the real world using custom Gigai's to hide their reiatsu while he thinks of a solution
-Then we see the Visards leaving their warehouse, evidently going to Karakura town to fight Aizen



Then the plot is ruined by many ridiculous plot twists with infinite inconsistancies. lol.

I don't know if you all know the full situation with Halibel or not but basically;

At the end of the last chapter, she was in the middle of her release command when a massive wave came from behind her. It seems likely that this is actually Ukitake's release because he wasn't doing anything so he might as well save Toshiro.
If of course it isn't Ukitake's release and it is Halibel's then that gives Toshiro an easy victory because he'll just freeze the water. >:l

Without the Bounto arc, it would've went straight from Aizen going to Hueco Mundo to suddenly Aizen having all these arrancar and espada that are invading the real world. The bounto arc filled the space of time between the Soul Society arc and Arrancar arc pretty well I say, despite the pretty boring story of the Bounto.

Thats exactly what I hated about the Bounto arc. It slowed things down and made it seem that Aizen takes ages to get anything done. It's the same in Soul Eater. The ultimate bad guy finally gets released from his prison but what does he do? He goes and sits in a cave and then a new bad guy shows up who just sucks and steals the story. Aizen the awesome has revealed his true self, oh my god theres no time to waste we have to act now! No wait, hang on Aizen please put your plans on hold while we fight this new villain. The filler mucked things up in my opinion. It would have been great if it went straight to the Arrancar arc and then Hueco Mundo. It's what happened in the manga, and it worked perfectly. The pacing is great. If Bleach had no fillers and if they didn't purposely try to fit in only one chapter per episode it would actually be one hell of an awesome show. Bleach would be so much better if they released a new episode every two weeks instead of one or something like that. They should take their time and if they catch up, the series should go on hiatus until the manga creates a decent lead.

I don't see it that Aizens just hiding away, I'm sure there was some mention of the hogyoku (sp?) needing time to warm up to reach a better potential, so he was preparing while they were off fighting some crappy enemy.

But maybe an episode every 2 weeks would be better... I swear almost half of Bleach episodes are filler. The Bounto arc must've taken up like 50 episodes, Amagai about 25, all the other random other filler episodes about 10 maybe. That's like 85, and Bleach is on 225 or so, quite a chunk of the series. The thing is though, most fans are pissed off with fillers, and most fans would be a bit pissed off with an episode every 2 weeks, so they decide to just do fillers instead for more money perhaps...

He's preparing for a rather long time, don't you think? Besides, the Arrancar arc doesn't get into the main part straight away. There is some more Shinigami substituting, Shinji's introduction and transfer to Ichigo's school, Aizen's test arrancar that are just stronger hollows, Ichigo's dad true identity, and then Yammy and Ulliquarualiroiaoio arrive. That's more than enough time for Aizen to do his stuff.

I'm pretty sure that, taking Bleach's current state into consideration, the majority would rather get a new bleach episode every two weeks instead of constant fillers and lame episodes that drag on forever. Although you could argue that it is a business and the production staff must continue to make money somehow if they catch up to the manga, and you could also argue that fillers are there, but you don't have to watch them if you don't want to. It was really annoying how they snuck in some manga material at the end of those fillers when Kon became a superhero though. They should keep fillers and non-fillers seperate. If they have to do 100 fillers, then so be it I won't watch them, and I won't complain as long as the actual quality of the normal episodes isn't ruined. The latest episodes I've seen have just been soooo poor though. If you're gonna do fillers at least to do enough so you won't have to drag out the non-filler episodes... y'know what I mean?

They show up BECAUSE OF AIZEN. Didn't you see Turn Back the Pendulum? He turned them into what they are, they want revenge, they know Ichigo can help them out. Not convenient at all. Also, what are you on about they show up as soon as Aizen's side gets the upper hand? They showed up before the Arrancar were even introduced. People don't give Bleach's story the praise it deserve in my opinion. Lately, yep, it's been crap. The first couple of arc's were gold and it is set in a very well visualized and detailed world. Bleach did start out quite original.

Wow, I was just looking through a few old DVD-R discs I have and came across one that had a bunch of Bleach episodes on. I had a look at episode 114 (the episode where Yammy fights Ichigo) and it hints at Yammy having some super strong zanpaktou. After Ichigo cut Yammy's arm off Yammy started to draw his zanpaktou and Ulriaoriaoria said "Are you going to use your zanpaktou on a runt like this?" Yammy just tells him to shut up and continues to draw it, but Ichigo looses focus since his inner hollow is trying to take over, so Yammy stops drawing his zanpaktou and just kicks Ichigo and slaps the **** out of Orihime. It proper makes a big deal out of it and everything though, he's drawing his zanpaktou REALLY slowly. No one could have picked up on that first time watching, but I love it when series hint at future events oh so subtly and you realise later on. :P It makes me wonder how far Tite Kubo actually has the story planned.

Yeah but the same applies to all the espada, and soul reapers to an extent. They are reluctant to use Bankai or Shikai, or even draw their sword if they don't have to. Same with espada, their release is obviously their trump card so why should they trudge in and use it straight away, I don't see it necessarily as foreshadowing.
Was he just drawing his zan or threatening to release?
Personally I still think this whole Yammy being... 0 espada is still a crap plot twist. He's only there so that when Rukia, Renji, Chad and Ishida beat him they'll be validated as characters when clearly they haven't been involved in a long time. Most likely because they've been left in the dust with all these vast, random, power increases.

When did Bleach become a show catered for kids? I speak of the violence that was present in the Soul Society arc and before that; when someone got stabbed or cut you actually saw it happen as well as blood etc. The same applied to hollows when they were killed, you would see an arm or a leg cut off with blood to go. A scene I specifically remember was in the SS arc when Ichigo confronted Renji and got his ass handed to him, with Renji's zan dragging into his chest, you actually saw it happening and saw the damage caused.
Nowadays in bleach you're lucky to see a silhouette when someone gets stabbed and as far as hollows being killed all you see is a quick swipe then they fade away. A prime example of this is (Spoilers if you haven't reached Hueco Mundo arc);
Kenpachi's fight with Nnoitra. Both psychos, should have been a bloodbath and for the most part it was...except you never see a sword (or scyth :P) touch skin. Even when Nnoitra slashes at Kenpaci's neck for a critical wound all you see is a white out, no contact at all as well as zero blood around, spatter (an effect put to good use before this censoring). Although there being no blood isn't strictly true, he has black blood on his neck and around his abdomen but that's just crap if you ask me; if kids can deal with a black splodge they can deal with 'real' blood.
Another example I can bring up since it's been in the anime now is the way Rangiku being attacked was dealt with. In the manga she had her side ripped out and there were boatloads of blood as well as showing the part of her body that was torn off, which was abit excessive but whatever. In the anime no doubt you didn't see it happen and then the only visible sign of distress is a black fill in her wound, no blood of course. It's difficult to defend the bleach anime when they don't even show violence anymore! /rant

Try other series, such as full metal alchemist or code geass. They are about the same length as DN. Watch FMA in english dub, watch code geass in subs.

Like Kenpachi in the Soul Society arc. I thought that ******* was dead when he collpased atop that building after asking his zanpaktou it's name when Ichigo destroyed him somehow, but in the next episode he shows up in hospital. Seriously, he was dead! Yachiru was like "Ken-chaaaan!" and everything. And Renji! Damn I don't even want to mention Renji. He got ripped to shreads by Byakuya. He was basically impaled on spears at the end. Whats his face doesn't die either, he turns into goo. Jeez, the amount of times I thought people were going to die in Bleach at the beginning seems never ending. Maybe thats why it was so good back then lol, because no one knew characters didn't actually die. The world will end if Grimmjow is actually dead.

Didn't Muramasa mention that he killed his wielder? So technically he can't be Kenpachi's Zanpakutou since he's still alive (don't really know if thats true considering we haven't seen him in the filler, but considering that no main characters from the original arc have been killed in a filler, it doesn't seem right to kill one know :P).
