Ye i know what you mean. But thats why i like KEF you can have it custom built to you needs. The thing that puts me off the bose though is there is no Optical input.

Bose aren't actually that good, they just are well known and you're thoughts of them being such a great audio brand make you think they are better than you are, as you want to think they are great.

They are overpriced as well - you're better off buying Sennheiser headphones and plain old Logitech speakers :P

Ye i sorta agree for headphones but myself i would go sure. Personaly though logitech dont sound half as good as some nice bose setup properly. Personally myself though i prefeer audio monitors.

I never like recording guitars on a direct input. Personally myself i have a SM57 right close to the amp around 1 inch off then a AKG c1000s around 10 inches back.

Then when your mixing down you get that nice bit of reverb as well.

It can be done with the CM690 but it takes alot of modding and I just didn't have the time.

Yea lol. It was originally going on the wall, but when we started drilling there wasn't enough brick (it's a chimney breast) and was loads of mortar. It's now going on a shelf when it gets built so that i get my desk space back. Should be about 15 inches above the desk.

They do have matrix mode, and with the correct cables and adapters you can connect most speakers to pretty much anything lol.

Lol, mines is ok, had mine since august 2007, but the paint at the front next to the button that opens up the laptop wen its closed all wore away to the brown metal after a few months.

What do you mean does it make any noise? Yes it emphasises the lower sound frequencies. They work with either. Currently, the speakers are connected to the PC and the TV is connected to the line-in on the PC so i can listen to the TV audio through the speakers as well as the PC without re-wiring anything. If I wanted to the laptop sound through the speakers i'd have to pull the cable out.
