I got an OEM Version from eBuyer for £40 - Is it particularly customizable on a Mac?

It's got so many buttons and it's very comfy. The scroll wheel is pure awesome, you can change modes or you can spin it really quickly and it'll become a wheel. There's also thumb scrolling and it's fully customizable, you can change what any button does and you can change what buttons do in different applications. There's also a left and right scroll and you can make it as sensitive as you wish. Downside is after 3 days it needs recharging and there's no middle click but that can easily be resolved.

I want that keyboard, but at £50 its a bit steep, same for the mouse :/The mouse is certainly worth it, it's totally changed my browsing experience and I doubt many other peripherals could do that. The keyboard is quite good, the luminous keys are good and the USB Hub built-in is useful. Macro's are easily programmable using the software and the screen is quite good, it's a bit smaller than expected and contains a number of applications for it, I use CPU/RAM & Media Player and I installed a gmail application for it. There's a quite a few LCD Applications available but lots are buggy and require things like Python etc. I've had a bit of trouble with the media keys as Windows Mobile automatically opens Windows Media Player which has priority over iTunes unfortunately.

The actual keyboard is good, greasy 'style' keys for grip, it's a bit wider than a standard keyboard so takes a day or two of adjusting and it's easy enough to type on. Not sure if it's worth £50 but it's rather good.

Luckily, being the genius I am, I managed to find some dead pixels on the Nano, so went to the Apple Store, got it changed for a brand new one (they have like, 5 brand new in stock for replacements), what a deal! Then I bought the iPod Touch with the £100 and £50 of my own. The Apple Wireless Keyboard I bought on eBay for £10, it had a scuff on the side of the metal, so I went to the Apple Store with that too and got a brand new £50 one :D

Oh, and just for 'whateverness' this is my old iPod Touch who I split with 5 days ago, I really miss it.. :(

Well, obviously you would have to of had the 'extended' 2 year warranty with it and it would of been repaired or replaced with a refurbished (looks brand new) iPod Nano 2G.

Well, my one (Intel Core 2 Duo 1.83Ghz 2GB RAM) is loud. So I stick it to my left to minimize the annoyance it gives.
And I hear lots of people saying "You only get Apple stuff to look cool!"... It proves my point that I don't buy Apple (primarily) for its coolness if it's there.
And to the casual observer, it's hidden unless you know to look there.
Say someone breaks in and tries to find the computer, if you have a thief who just wants to be in and out with as much as he can... He wont see the Mac because its in the dark at the back of that shelf unit thing. I suppose there's a chance they would see it, but it ain't likely if they just wanna be in and out.

Fair enough if you think it's paranoia.. And yes, I DO have Contents Insurance. However, while I can claim back the old Mac, I'll never get the data back.

You do have some good points to be honest with you. I don't find my mini loud, but we all have different ears and what we think is loud or isn't can be different. :)

My board is a good ten years old, maybe 15. It was only my second board or something. 10 Plugs are also very useful, as are two network points. Just so much easier than extensions :P

If it's a gaming or really mega high spec PC, the general rule is that you need a massive PSU which wont go bang... Of course, I stuck a modular PSU in my gaming rig and broke about £1,000 of equipment...

So I switched to Mac. :P

Will post pics tomorrow now that the cameras finally here.

Actually most gamers use modular PSUs that aren't cheap ones. I paid around £80 for my modular PSU.

This was a nice decent spec (650 watt) antec. I don't mind about the wires since my case is too small to fit any amount of wires in (theres like an inch gap between the DVD drive and the PSU.

It was an unexpected cost, my old one fried luckily without damaging anything, but now I have to use more christmas money than I would have liked to by a new case and motherboard.

It's a slow upgrade cycle :P

There should be a capital "T" on iPod Touch. You labelled it as 18GB in capacity when I don't think this is size that they are sold in. Your notation for the gigabyte is "gb", when it should be "GB" and a similar error when describing the capacity of your 64MB memory stick.

@Lolwut BTW don't get the wireless mighty mouse. Get the MX Revolution, it was £35 on eBuyer when I bought it a couple of weeks ago. The next day it went up to £46 LOL. I have the wireless Apple keyboard and it's a beaut. It feels weird at first but you get used to it :D

@Lolwut BTW don't get the wireless mighty mouse. Get the MX Revolution, it was £35 on eBuyer when I bought it a couple of weeks ago. The next day it went up to £46 LOL. I have the wireless Apple keyboard and it's a beaut. It feels weird at first but you get used to it :D

What dock do you have your iPhone/iPod Touch there? It's deffo not a universal dock as the IR reciever on those are sort of flat? Is it an older generation type?
