I love the red bull team but i think button or hamilton will take them off the top because they work against each other so much.

Yeh, Redbull is a stronger team, I think. Well this year anyway they are.

At this current moment in time who would bet against Red Bull winning both championships...?

Perez could be fit for Canada but has to be declared medically fit by FIA.

Damon Hill is also standing down as BDRC president which is a shame.

Perez could have got a great result in Monaco - a shame really. I hope he makes Canada.

Also, we might actually have a race not dominated by Red Bull on our hands woo!

Kers problem for Webber. Tyres are going to be crucial. Let's see if the gamble pays off for Lewis and Jenson with the bigger rear wing.

Catz i dont see webber having much problems with his KERS, even if him and redbull say so.

They told us Vettel was going to be slow this week, but as everyone saw yesterday he wasnt going slow lol.

I see it being

Vettle, Alonso, Webber.

I'd love Webber to come first tho, as im a real fan of webber i love how he handles things.
Just want Vettle to hurry up and leave RB.

Watching the replay, when the race stopped; He looked back several times in his mirror so he must have seen him at some point. pity he had to retire, it didn't look that bad but I'm no expert.

Have to remember they cant see anything out there...

Button didnt know he was there, if you listen to the msg that button sent to the team, you would know it via listening what he said.

Hamilton is just pushing himself to hard, and he keeps failing.

Strange turn of events really. Ricciardo has a drive for Hispania until the Inidian GP when Karthikeyan reclaims his seat for the race. I thought Hispanias primary sponser backed Karthikeyan so will be interesting to see if they stay. At least Ricciardo hopefully won't be colourblind in the slow Hispania, like Karthikeyan and his lack off taking notice to blue flags.

Also, 24 cars finishing isn't exactly a great achievement. Where has the fun of engine failures, punctures etc gone, Trulli summed it up well with his boring year due to "perfect cars".

Ajthedragon

And I'm pleased for Ricciardo - he has them potential to be an OZ world champion!

I know I'm late but I've only just been able to catch up :P

Silverstone was brilliant overall as a weekend, camped at Woodlands Campsite (next to the track) and enjoyed a brilliant three days of motorsport. The race was pretty good, as half of the track was wet (bit where I was sitting at Copse) and the other half (nearest the Wing) was dry. So I managed to see most of the overtaking moves. Only negative is when your there you miss out on all the gossip. I never knew anything about Hamilton's fuel or RBR team orders. Even saw Jenson and Lewis at a Vodafone event, and EJ on Saturday evening at the campsite.

Hopefully McLaren can come through this 'dark patch.' Its starting to look like Ferrari have now overtaken McLaren pace wise (they always are late to catch up, but when they do you can't stop them)

I'll post some photos up later, when I've put them online somewhere.

I've got Sky as in our household we are always watching the football and the cricket. So I'm not really that bothered. I really do like the BBC's coverage and its the best we've ever seen in the UK but I'm sure Sky will innovate and do even more features and give viewers more information so to speak (like they have done with the Cricket)

Latest news is that both BBC/Sky will be sharing resources, facilities and even commentators. The only difference really is that BBC/Sky will have different presentation staff. JH will be staying at BBC though as he's one of their contracted presenters (not just for F1)

I'm really hoping that Sky can get some good pundits if not EJ and DC.

I'm interested to see how this will work in conjunction with the football season. Given that Sky Sports usually show Premier League matches at 12:45pm on Saturday, 1:30pm and 4:00pm on Sunday. Apart from in the Summer I imagine that it'll probably be on SS2 if not 3 and 4. Not sure how that's going to be lucrative for Sky.

I agree with you regarding the lucrativeness of the deal. Just by looking at the 'Save BBC F1' pages and message boards not many people seem that interested in buying Sky Sports but I am sure that will change.

They must be able to make space for it - as they have promised to show practice, qualifying and the race. They have the rights for it and they've paid a lot so I am pretty sure they will just get rid of Speedway and the little things like WWE. Channel number isn't a real problem.

tbh Lewis doesnt look happy in McLaren, I'd love him to go to redbull, I know theres alot of stuff being said, and that redbull have said, that both there drivers are happy, but Seb is going to win this year and its pretty obvs tbh. unless he atleast comes 7th or something every race, from now on.

I see Seb quitting redbull, and Lewis going to redbull. I belive someone will leave farrari, likely to be massa, and im not sure who they would want, but my bet is Seb.

These are just rumours ect ect, but that means a spot in McLaren, i'd see Paul Di Resta going to McLaren. The fact hes going better than alot of the vets ect ect, and it helps that lewis's dad is his manager.

But we will soon see.

Aslong as mark doesnt leave redbull im happy :)

Brilliant drive by Jenson, shame about Lewis though. Hopefully McLaren can come back on challenge for some wins. The championships over now, I'd say unless Vettel somehow gets ruled out for the rest of the season with injury or something. Which I can't see happening.

Rumor has it Red Bull's second team (Torro Rosso) is being sold in time for Monza.

http://joesaward.wordpress.com/2011/09/01/scuderia-toro-rosso-ownership/

The group wanting to buy is the same company which owns Manchester City FC and also owns a share in Mercedes GP.

It would certainly stop the confusion with livery. I'm unsure why they'd sell it though, seeing its being used for Red Bull's young drivers presumably. Even though I suppose they've got Vettel from TR. I'm pretty sure that if the FIA hadn't outlawed 'customer cars' a couple of years back they'd still be going reasonably strong under the Red Bull banner.

We await further info though :D

Appears the Heidfeld-Renault saga has come to an end after an 'amicable' settlement.

In a way I feel a bit sorry for the guy, he wasn't a to bad racer especially when he was at BMW Sauber. I just guess he isn't a top racer, and has trouble leading a team as the 'Lead Driver' which Renault seem to want. It also looks like Renualt have shifted some of the blame for their bad car onto Nick. They need to face the facts, they are more of a midfield team at least at the moment with the top 3 and Mercedes who have superior driver line-ups.

Anyway, lets see how Bruno Senna does. It'll certainly be interesting to see how he performs in a midfield car compared to a rubbish HRT.

Looking forward to Monza :P

Never saw that video, I know Massa thought it was Lewis's fault because they interviewed him about it. I think he really wants to perform to keep his place at Ferrari and things like that happening to him really aren't helping. So he's starting to show his frustration.

I've never liked Massa, and to be honest the race stewards are really really harsh to Lewis, ALL THE TIME. In that instance I thought he deserved a drive-thru purely because Massa lost out so much from it. Then again, if no one ever tried to overtake.. it wouldn't really be racing would it..

Toro Rosso have named Daniel Ricciardo and Jean-Eric Vergne as their drivers for the 2012 Formula 1 season.

Sebastien Buemi and Jaime Alguersuari make way as the team name an all-new line-up for the first time since their debut in 2006.

So a new line up for the team, looks like we may not be seeing some of the drivers in 2012 who were in the 2011 season

I bet Alguersuari will move to HRT. They always wanted to be more "spanish". Although a surprising decision by Toro Rosso...!

Also it's not definite Kubica is moving to Ferrari it's rumours. Let's not get too excited.

Furthermore Mercedes has been renamed Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula 1 Team.

Hulkenburg is back! Force India confirmed him and Di Resta as their drivers today.

http://www.yallaf1.com/2011/12/16/force-india-confirm-di-resta-and-hulkenberg/

There are now two vacant seats, one at Williams and one at HRT.

My guess is that Sutil will move to Williams, meanwhile Jaime Alguersuari will partner De La Rosa at HRT.

Glad di resta is staying with Force India as he had a really good season last year and i think he will improve well in 2012.

I'm sure that Sutil will get a seat and williams would be a good choice.
