Just replying to a few earlier posts here.

I think that this thing of trying to include everybody and not let anybody be rude to anybody goes too far in some cases.

I've seen posts being edited for somebody calling another user an idiot. This i really think is going to far. The fact is that in real life you got to have some common sense and if you act like an idiot in real life you will most of the time fare far worse than simply being called an "idiot".

You're are always going to have groups of people that really don't want to/will not accept certain types of people. Unfortunately that's just human nature. For example people in more mature forums like debates and current affairs don't want immature kids who post baseless "facts" posting there.

You can't force people to like or accept other people.

All very smart posts here. For the period you mentioned Sharon (and I refuse to believe you investigated those statistics yourself, so Hi Saurav glad to know you're still obsessed with Habbox :rollseyes, the same period last year was significantly lower in posts, the same period in 2009 had similar posts too. If you look at the trends in HabboxForum statistics March onto April is always quiet and then the Easter Holidays liven things up.

One can only assume the reasons for peaks and troughs in HabboxForums posting activity however registration stats are higher than they've been all year and the amount of new members posting more than once is also on the increase. Pyroka, I think it was moaning that the older members who "make hxf survive" aren't being looked after - no it's not that they aren't being looked after it's that they are growing up and moving on - that's how life works, Habbox is right to focus on the Habbo audience (believe it or not, we're a Habbox fansite) as these are the future of Habbox.

The forum isn't getting as many posts as it would most other months of the year, but by far would I call this a "downfall", slight overexaggeration there but then again what do I expect when Saurav get's a young girl to post stuff like this, you'd think at his age he'd move on and forget about Habbox.

If HabboxForum is going to follow the same pattern it did in 2009 and 2010 of a quiet March and then an increase from mid-April to Summer then looking at the stats from last year and using last months stats to project, we should have a busier summer than 2010. So no, I wouldn't say HabboxForum is in a 'downfall', lol.

In what you were aiming to me, fair point to make and I can't argue with that. I have to give it to you Oli, over the past few days I've been hearing good ideas which have stemmed from you, and it's kinda scaring me that you might be doing a good job after all LOL. My whole opinion of Habbox is ruined

Also guys, regarding how this thread has kinda revolved around Jen, I think you're getting wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too into that. I'm not happy Jen's gone, but she wasn't my reason for not using the forum. Jen can make her own mind up, I wouldn't ever force her back. People miss her and yeah you're gonna obv, but I wouldn't put just that down as a reason for HabboxForum's minor inactivity (compared to other months).

Shaz, build a bridge & get over it. One thing I've noticed that since I've stopped using the forum and consequently Jen has as well (PROBS MISSED FORUM W/O ME..X), you've referred to yourself as being part of the "spam crew" & that you decide who's in and who isn't. Let me just tell you that has never been the case when theres been groups in spam, and there's never been that kind of culture (since I've been on forum) where if you post for the first time in spam you're totally hated on and nobody talks to you.

To my memory the times it's been shut down for bullying it's been older members (Beer/Lolly/Lee most prominently) who were the targets. I haven't actually seen much unpleasantness recently, possibly because any harsh words now get you cautioned, but any disliking of posts/members seems to be down to their personality not just their age

Well it ought to be, respect is something that you get from other people for your words and actions so if it's not reviewed and decided upon by other people I can't see what definition you can give to it

Whatever forum you are in no-one is going to be equal. There is always going to be a hierarchy. It's the way of the world, however, earning your place in spam and not being taken much notice of to start with is a lot different to being hostile as soon as they post. That's the difference.

Absolutely. The "golden era" was when there were cliques and member hierarchies and less nonsense about how we're somehow all equal. I'm not saying we should encourage fighting and abuse or that such things would give any more life to the forum (although I guess it's quite possible), but to suggest people are being too mean NOW of all times for areas like spam to thrive is ridiculous.

Well since then you can get away with a lot more is spam providing it is not done maliciously and is not offensive to the other person. It's your judgement call if you take a chance without knowing what the possible consequences are. Oh and 'Beer/Lolly/Lee' was the biggest bully of them all. He was the puppet master and you all danced to his tune. Never seen such a good manipulator on here. It was Seacat and I that rumbled his game. My that is going back a bit.

Someone didn't read the whole thread. The spam talk in this thread is just something that happened, the thread has nothing to do with spam holding habbox together

I agree with you there. Spam is a unique forum but there is a lot more to Habbox.
