as i have a lot planned for the weeks that go upto then :P

I'll end up getting both games eventually and both on 360.
Just can not decide 'cos the story modes both look really good.
But then when it comes to playing my friends it'l get abit boring with tna now i'm thinking due to the lack of matches.
But i've had every smackdown vs raw and smackdown games since know your role so i think it might be time for a change.

I'll keep you informed of how good it is when I get it. :) TNA iMPACT was praised for its realistic graphics and simple control scheme, but criticized for its limited and repetitive movesets & commentary, poor entrances, lack of championship belts and matches and finally its poor AI.

Im a TNA fan and have the game but I advise you to get SVR09 as TNA lacks moves, superstars, this and that..
Once you have completed the short story mode, theres not really that much to do

Oh yeah, keep forgetting. :( There's still a secret mode to reveal but I dunno what it'll be. We've had inferno match confirmation, highlight reel confirmation, roster management confirmation and road to Wrestlemania confirmation, what else could this new secret mode be?

Because the shirts are in the game, does not mean the wrestler is. I am pretty sure that if WWE wanted to, they could put a Mean Gene Okerlund shirt in the game, does not mean he would be a wrestler. WWE owns the designs and whatnot.


But yeah, demo should be here in the next few days.

You get the secret mode by completing RTW, so im thinking.. Relive Wrestlemania mode, theres a couple of matches involving previous WM Main Events, in the match, you play the matches with the legends, once you have completed the match, you can watch the IRL version, I think that would be cool. Knowing YUKES it will be something like Create a Managers dresscode mode.. or something equally pointless and random.

It wont be a mode, its just some kooky little mode I made up in my head. Create and Entrance theme, pointless. The majority of people who PC/Macs. Which containing audio editing program, so you can make your own theme on that and switch it to your console by using the Custom Soundtrack feature.

What about Create A Federation online mode? I know loads of people who play in feds on forums. People could maybe be invited to a Fed, where there are PPV's every few days/weeks. Winning titles and all sorts!

An eyetoy thing would be good, it'd save loads of time from creating yourself. Also, it'd be good to cheat and just put a picture of say Yokozuna infront of the eyetoy camera and then use it in CAW mode to save you creating Yoko's face from scratch. ;)

Oooh, another new feature I have just thought of whilst playing Fifa 09. Updateable rosters, this could be classed as a new mode and DLC.

You pay... a couple of hundred MS points, that will bring your 12 monthly updates, each bringing a few new wrestlers that have debuted, were not included in the game.


The problem with the Cam thing, you will get people putting obscene things on their faces. On Burnout Paradise the amount of people who flash their genitals when you crash into them is unbelievable.

Oh and also a little update when you use CAS mode.

When you have created your superstar and go to take a picture of him they have a few presets for you for how he stands, not the stupid little camera no more. And when you go to play as him say on exhibition mode you will see him standing like all the rest of the superstars, not some dodgy little box with him in :) Cool eh!?

I think I completed TNA iMPACT! the second day of play. It wasn't at all good. Not a bad game, but flawed and empty.

As for SD vs. RAW 2009, I'm pretty sure the last mode that was going to be revealed already has, with it being Highlight Reel mode the other day. There is a hidden match type that has to be unlocked though that they are keeping secret at the moment.

I doubt it will be special ref. Rarely seen match, i think its Create-a-match. You change pin falls, count outs, referee (involves special ref, see?). Ability to have a cage with weapons, elim chamber with a special ref.. all sorts.

I agree with this. I think they need some new pin animations on SVR09 for when you do the pin after a move. I was on JBI earlier and I noticed a pin animation that isn't in any other game. You lift up the opponents leg as if it's dead heavy and fall onto your opponent's chest as you do so.

WWE have a rocky relationship with THQ and Jakks Pacific to say the least. It all depends on whether or not the parties can resign.

I believe the last mode on the game was the incoporation of highlight reels, so there aren't anymore to be announced. A new match type that has to be unlocked IS in the game as confirmed and hasn't been announced. I'm not bothered about "Falls Count Anywhere" because it's exactly the same as a Hardcore match - the only thing different is the name - and it's been changed because the WWE no longer uses the "Hardcore" name for a FAC bout.

EA would be a good developer - ONLY IF IT WAS EA BLACKBOX. They made the best game of last year, EA Skate. The game was simply amazing. Everything about it. They are a great team and would make the smackdown series amazing. UK/US EA would murder smackdown.. I cannot think of another good dev. Dont be unrealistic please people, dont suggest Bungie, MS, Bizzare, Midway (lol!)

If you didn't know the FPS this year in SVR09 is x2 faster than SVR08. It's 30FPS in SVR08 and 60FPS in SVR09.

General info
- Hardyz and DX are the playable characters. HBK has a 94 overall.
- Only available modes are singles and tag team matches.
- The game feels a lot better this year than last year. The difference between 30 fps(08) and 60 fps(09) is truly shocking.
- The graphics look a lot more polished and vibrant than last year.
- I have not played the tag match yet.
- Only the RAW arena is available in the demo.
- HHH is WWE Champion in the demo, but can not defend the title and does not come out with the belt.
