RAW and RAW 2 are the worst games in wrestling history! You couldn't win the Ladder or TLC matches 3/4 time because you just hung in the air for eternity.

Lmao, yeah. Better than some earlier WWF/WWE games though. In some Ladder matches, you could climb the ladder straight away and jump for the title and grab it. In SYM HHH's attires were black trunks, denims and white tshirt. In HCTP, his attires were red trunks, black trunks and purple trunks. :P

I really liked the "Three Stages of Hell" match, although not the name. They should bring it back so we can have more stipulation-customisable best of three bouts.

Sorry, didn't realise it had been in some SVR games. The Money In The Bank Ladder match in SmackDown! vs. RAW 2007 was the crappest match on the game. I hated having to move the analogue stick all the time.

And with the six guys, it was just impossible to win, especially with all the glitches that game had. The matches lasted like 2 hours!

I didn't care for the "Slobber Knocker", but I wouldn't mind the Lumberjack/jill match brought back. Also, let women fight in gimmick matches!

Yeah. Lumberjack would be good, as would slobberknocker. Slobberknocker used to be great. Last ride on anybody and 1 2 3. It is about time they could do 8 in a match like in JBI. Yeah, women in gimmick matches would be awesome. xD

Definitely. And in SmackDown! vs. RAW 2008, they took out the 4-6 man elimination matches/Battle Royals, didn't they? I love bouts with elimination stipulations.

Yeah, I think so. I always broke up the falls in the elimination matches because I like them going on for a long time. At least I could play my 6-man Tag matches with the elimination stipulation. I hope they keep that in, as well as the elimination tables match stipulation for tag team bouts.

Elimination table matches are great. I'm glad the backstage brawl match is back. I hope they add more backstage areas though like in earlier SD games like SD 2, JBI and SYM. I also want Bra and Panties match again.

Lol, Plaza Square was quite good, fighting in the streets, but WWE now don't do matches like that now. Back in the WWF days, hardcore matches mostly continued into the streets, which was awesome.

Lmao, yeah. I also hope they make it so when you run into the stairs manually on SVR09, you don't trip and it becomes loose. There should be a button to pick up the stairs instead of running into them to pick them up. They should also make it so that the stairs look heavy. On some SVR games, the wrestlers just swing at the opponents with the stairs easily.

But it was pretty stupid that you could climb the ladder on the helicopter in Times Square and go on top of that building and then fly off like you were in The Matrix. You could also hit a move on that limo and it would explode? :S

Lmao, yeah. I quite like the humour of accidents in the movesets, such as that tag team move where it goes wrong and the partners get irish whipped into the corner and one of them falls head first onto the other ones *whistles*. I also like the accident old school.

Haha, I remember the entrance of the gymnast who fails their routine on the way to the ring. Victoria did that little roll on the ramp and messed up her leap off the trampoline a couple of weeks ago on SmackDown in that Divas Olympic tag team match, and that reminded me of that entrance.

LOl yeah I saw that, but I forgot about the entrance. They need to get rid of the silly entrances now though and add some entrances that wrestlers actually do that aren't on the game. I quite liked the idea in CAW mode on SD 2 where there were body parts of superstars not in the game, such as Jeff Jarrett, Goldust, Sgt Slaughter etc.

I'm going to buy it just because it's a wrestling game at the end of the day. The graphics are fantastic, but the wrestlers have such small movesets by the looks of it, and moves that they don't actually perform in reality. Plus, WWF No Mercy style entrances.

What put me off was the fact that I was making 4 wrestlers in 1 CAW slot since I only knew one attire for them, so I had put Goldust, Gangrel, Mosh & Thrasher on the same CAW slot, thinking that they'd all be different movesets etc, but when I chose a moveset for Goldust, it changed everyone else's, and I cba with movesets.

WWF No Mercy is a very heavily "modded" game. You can download a modification if you have the ROM on your computer to put all the graphics in high-resolution, so you can download new wrestling/overwrites in much better looking graphics, and the actual wrestlers' faces.

From what I can gather from that video, the commentary has been improved slightly, no numbers showing when the referee counts, and they also count like a normal ref, not too fast/slow. I also like the signature move icon that appears now and also the fact that Santino had his feet on the ropes. Maybe a new feature if you pin your opponent with a dirty superstar near the ropes.

Monday through Friday from now until the release of WWE Smackdown vs RAW 2009, we'll be profiling Superstars, showing their entrance, signature move, and finisher on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii. Now -- PSP, PS2, and DS users -- if you see the Countdown pop up on your channel with videos from the PS3, it's not a mistake. That appearance means that character is in your version of the game. We're hoping to have weekly updates to your media sections with platform-specific stuff.

We've got a long way to go, but keep in mind that you're a huge part of this Countdown. Both Friday Fights and the THQ&A are back this year. This Video game has been criticized when people first heard about the theme of the game being Tag Team-based. But once people saw the demo, which was very noticeable for the new "Hot Tag" feature and "Blind Tag" features, as well as the new bone crushing double team finishers.

This game may be the big debut for Kofi Kingston, Beth Phoenix, Cody Rhodes, and Ted Dibiase too. This game will probably be the best for many new twists to it.

The new, first-time-ever Inferno match got people talking. This match not only lets you fight in the match, they also let the heat flow while you do high impact moves and the degrees can go up as far as over 550 degrees!

Man, if you ask me, that is one hot feature! There may be more development story on that later possibly with Kane.

Since this feature was revealed, could the Punjabi Prison match debut too?

Prior to all this, they finally improved the backstage attack. You can finally attack in the locker room. Also, you are able to attack after a match and keep on attacking with the bell ringing.

The new Create-a-Finisher is also a killer improvement. You can now make the most powerful signature move to never be made in WWE. Yes all you Petey William fans out there, you can finally make the Canadian Destroyer, and to all you old CM Punk fans, you can make a new-and-improved Pepsi Plunge.

Also the little adjustment that has been taken under notice is the entrances. More realistic now, CM Punk comes out with his shirt, and Kennedy comes out with his shirt. Sounds sweet huh?

To the millions and millions of Rock fans out there, I am sorry to say this, but The Rock might possibly not be in the game as a legend (this is going to be the first game The Rock will not appear in). The reason being that The Rock's actions taken after the Hall of Fame ceremony and because they want 10 fresh legends to never be put on the game.

The rumored goal for THQ and Yukes to hit is 70 wrestlers. Sounds good huh? This might be the debut of many new wrestlers and excitement of WWE Fans all over the world as they control more than they ever have before. This game is cooking up anticipation to not only me, but lots of others over the Internet too.

This game is finally making the Superstar Countdown on IGN.com to finally announce ALL the roster, and reveal the first superstar of the amazing countdown. Be sure to stay tuned on IGN.com for the annual Smackdown Countdown.
