I want a nice savannah themed layout!! someone make one when the furni is released =]
not a fan of any of these designs so far. sorry! :( and big rooms are disgusting!!!!

Okay so here it is, quite big - but I know you all love it big. I can also lend you all this furni to make it and I know there's no proper staff area thing, but I'm sure I can make one where the tiki hut is and put a tele inside the tiki hut as well, if my design gets picked of course. PLEASE NOTE: When zoomed in, parts of it look strange i.e the wall patches and the tiki hut.

I think some kind of achievement boosting would be nice. In winter we had ice patches, perhaps roller rinks or something??? Could be hidden under other rugs if they don't fit into the design very well.

still think my summer design should be used!!!

i still like this but just make use of the new furni ranges and maybe put real water patches.

It's a shame that it's again being delayed between a possible layout change. The management for the help desk don't seem to get to choose no more? Or can't they be bothered to make one? The system in the past has been fine where they and A(GM)'s had a little creative session on Habbo making up future layouts, why hasn't this been any more? It's nice the community is allowed to get involved but at a time where they are not producing Olympic themes layouts surely this is where higher up people (hxhd management and higher) should be stepping in and helping drive one into practice before it's again too late.

There were others with a similar opinion about celebrating the Olympics. And we have had a change of layout for some time now (I think) and with all these suggestions and no layout change I just don't get why it takes so long.

I think that's what happened with the current "easter" layout where they decided chucking a couple of eggs down would suffice as a spring theme. As far as I know my design won't be used at all, it's just not big enough imo. Heard through the grapevine that rakker has been contacted and asked to create a layout (kinda makes this thread pointless) but he is yet to reply.

Spring, Valentines, Easter, Summer, Halloween, Christmas.

6 layouts a year is more than enough. Don't really see why it needs to be changed (often at great expense) all the time. Sadly we can't just look at all the great suggestions in this thread and go 'ooh that's nice, let's start that' because sometimes things are just too expensive. It is in fact the main reason why someone who should have won the badge didn't because of the cost of the help desk layout they designed.

Bigger rooms are used now so more people can come in as before it could be quite full.

I think it's nice Rakker's been contacted to create a layout, but his creations are normally from quite a lot of furniture (do we have that?) or would we give him a selection of furniture and see what he mashes together? Shame your not confident on your room Kyle :( It's a very different one compared to previous ones and would of been nice to change it from modern rooms. I think going old skool would be a nice move or using older types or furniture rather than newer ones.

In terms of an Olympics layout, there wasn't much choice of furni that could have been used for it. It's only this week Habbo have finally added more furni related to it that could actually be used in the layout. I'm wanting to change the layout ASAP and I just want a design given to me that HxHD Management are happy with. The current layout is now annoying me because of how long we have had it for.

In terms of Kyles layout, I love the design. Although I don't know where the desk bit would go really.

it would be nice to strike a balance between a few designs, just so that everybody feels included. I'm happy to help with the designing of the room but don't really feel like making a whole new room just to tear it down and rebuild it, or not even get to rebuild it at all.

Jurv's is nice but the type of design is a bit outdated and something we can see in almost every other fansite drop in. Furni use is minimal and, like someone previously stated, if the windows and trees were removed it could easily be mistaken for a christmas room. We have all this nice new furni, it'd be a shame not to use it.

If thats how it came across, then I didn't mean that. I just meant we would be willing to recreate Jelly falls if it was still wanted but its in the wrong desk layout atm and I don't want to or see the point of tearing it down when its going to looking the same, just adapted.

The problem here doesn't seem to be lack of designs, look through the thread (there are over 30 pages of suggestions, don't just stick with the latest pages) and you will find that there are plenty. It's the lack of a decision maker that's prepared to take on board more than one design that's the problem.

The help desk has been known to be original and creative with their designs over recent years so to slip back into that old rectangular design with a help desk seemingly from 2009 it would be a shame. It's just a room but a bit of character wouldn't go amiss.

I was calling red a cheeky cow, not you. I think the habbox community should have a little more say in the matter though, since it's them who're mostly going to be in the room and it's essentially a room for them, not the management.

yeah if you removed the savannah the staff area could be put there instead that would work quite well,

but we'd also need to add a few other things too :)

exactly what i was thinking. not being rude to @Red (http://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=81989); or anything, but quite a few replies have said they liked cameron's design and would have liked to have seen it. i'm not sure how it makes hxhd look too poor and don't see how it looks xmassy considering there are sand patches and the wallpaper is summery.

kirst it almost seems as if you don't like the design so you'd rather ignore all designs and just have kyles (i do like kyles btw). it just makes this thread seem so pointless because basically every design will be ignored if kyles is used. seems like you also came to the conclusion of using it rather than management.

Sorry georgia! I don't pick the designs though or involved in any decision making. How is there thread being ignored? Kyle posted his design in here ages ago if you go back through the pages and I prefer his, because its more up to date with the furniture and summery. There wasn't a desk layout chosen last time either. Matt made that himself, so they don't have to choose any design. The management can choose what they like.

it feels unfair that i didnt actually go out of my way to create a desk like some people did, i just added one to my existing room because i thought it would look good. im helping to build the room now so will make sure to take the ideas from other designs on board too, so you dont all feel left out.

We can use whatever design we think is suitable - We do not have to use any designs that have been posted in this thread. All designs in this thread can always be looked back on used in future designs, hence why we have it so people can suggest layouts for the Help Desk instead of management designing them. The room has still been designed by users on this forum and it was actually suggested to be used as a HxHD layout.

I think there needs to be some clarification to this thread and how it's being used. It is not a competition. Competitions means there has to be a winner. This thread is more like a portfolio of designs that management (and while the community can have a say management will take the final decision or we'd be going round in circles all day) will use to make a decision. If a layout is not used don't think that it can't be used in the future because it can. However, it also means that a design in here might not even be used at all.

PS. While red and green are christmassy colours, cameron's room doesnt look christmassy at all lol.

You should read previous posts by me and Mike about it being a piss take if it's a new design. This isn't a competition and therefore we can do whatever we actually like with the layout in the room. what are you talking about.. i have not once said that i've been bored without hxhd. i have just been saying that the amount of time it's taken to build the room is ridiculous and it definitely should have been more organised. oh, and just to let you know, whilst you have been in there for so long.. events were being hosted.

Well it's quite an intricate design (I know, some people like it simple. get over it inseriousity u boob) so to recreate it it again in another room, just to tear it down and rebuild it ALL OVER AGAIN (which I've done TWICE now already) is just pointless. If you must know, Matt and a couple of others liked the concept of the first room I posted and asked whether I would be able to create it. I said that I didn't mind, but I thought that the other room shape I posted was a little bit restrictive in terms of movement and whatever events might be hosted in there, so I offered to make it in the current help desk room. I'm really sorry that none of your designs were picked this time around but it really isn't the end of the world.

The help desk is more of a chill so yes, it's probably a little detrimental that it's closed for 'so long' but that can't be helped really. Every time there's a design change the event closes for a substantial period of time and the addicts get withdrawals. Nothing stopping you from creating a temporary room though, in fact I'm quite sure that graham has his own version that people went to the last time the desk closed.

I'm just glad the fabulous help desk staff sackrace and kikali are also on the events team hosting events for your enjoyment. :)

it would have been more organised if the room was made before hand and then chosen by everyone so it could be made quick. kyle's rooms are fabulous but they do usually take a long time which isn't really suitable for hxhd. you could have easily made a replacement small 104 tiled room so we could have stayed there whilst waiting.

Well it's quite an intricate design (I know, some people like it simple. get over it inseriousity u boob) so to recreate it it again in another room, just to tear it down and rebuild it ALL OVER AGAIN (which I've done TWICE now already) is just pointless. If you must know, Matt and a couple of others liked the concept of the first room I posted and asked whether I would be able to create it. I said that I didn't mind, but I thought that the other room shape I posted was a little bit restrictive in terms of movement and whatever events might be hosted in there, so I offered to make it in the current help desk room. I'm really sorry that none of your designs were picked this time around but it really isn't the end of the world.

The help desk is more of a chill so yes, it's probably a little detrimental that it's closed for 'so long' but that can't be helped really. Every time there's a design change the event closes for a substantial period of time and the addicts get withdrawals. Nothing stopping you from creating a temporary room though, in fact I'm quite sure that graham has his own version that people went to the last time the desk closed.

I'm just glad the fabulous help desk staff sackrace and kikali are also on the events team hosting events for your enjoyment. :)

yeah i do understand that it's quite an intricate design but it probably would have been better if you were to design it in another room before the help desk was closed. yes, i know it may have been a rush to get the design sorted but it would have been better that way. and i'm not really bothered about the room, haha. i'm alright with the design you have but the amount of time it's taken and the fact that it's still not finished is a bit.. but yeah, good luck with the room and i'm sure it's fab whenever we get to see it.

and yes, events staff are always there to help out with the boredom throughout habbox. it's a brilliant department. :)

nope. there's a difference between boredom and concern. i just don't understand how a design that's been made before can take so long. but that's cleared up now so don't worry. also, read my previous comments about how it could be more organised. that would probably help a lot you a lot before you bother commenting.. haha!

Why is there a random Swamp Log? Like I said to another I think there's too many patches used and I'm unsure about the Woven rugs. Also how have you stacked on Dark Water show offs :P.

I don't think the seats look great, the Cobbled Paths make me think of outside whereas the Area Sofas don't etc.

wired glitch will allow people into desk area, rock walls don't really match the rest of the room, random grave area seems a little pointless and swamp is too large in comparison to rest of room. i like the general idea of it though :)

Aww thanks Andy and Martin :) Yea the christmas furni was released quite late last year after we had already put the christmas layout in. But I will probs update it when the new furni is released :}

Nope, I wasn't acting like one at all, I said we didn't have them on the hotel and Kyle; I don't mind personally if people use retros but when they submit a room that cant be made it gets a bot obvious, the rule is if they cant tell it's a retro its fine, I got told that anyway.
