THE PROBLEM WITH ALL OF THESE IS THAT THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH RANDOM HEARTS AND ROSES. I know a lot of you people like clean professional designs but valentine's is entirely tacky and commercial and that's the whole fun of it :D

I like this, I think the walls would be better using USVA to match the slight pink tone of the flooring and if not you can just have them white! The stairs look a bit more purple than pink.

I think the bottom part could do with a few more seats though.

i don't really like simon's design, especially the wall to the left of the room, it all just looks so randomly placed and the random green plants just don't match at all, there's too many different shades of pink :( however the layout of the room (with the steps) is quite cute and would look nice if it could be incorporated into a different theme

v. cute! by the shrubs near the decking on the bottom you should put a table in each corner with 2 chairs and also i don't like the corner near the red bricks with the venetian lamp thing! walls look a bit odd too, i'd keep them either behind desk or on bottom, most likely up top tho in my own opinion x

Hi All,

As valentines day is over and done with we are looking at swapping out the HxHD layout on the 29th of February.

So its that time were we ask the community to get creative and put there Room building skills to the Test.

As Easter is around the corner and Spring/Summer is on its way I was thinking a nice outdoor theme would be a nice change? But ill leave that to you.

On Friday the 27th of February a Voting poll will be opened for you to vote for the room you would like to see put into place.

So get your building blocks out and lets see what you can do !

Look lads before I post this I just want to say I CAN'T DESIGN rooms I am really not creative. Because no one has really sent anything in I have tried to come up with a design. I know though THANK THE LORD a few people are going to make a design for us so I am really thankful to you guys because we can't use this it's a MESS!

As some of you may know I am not at all fond of grass patches as large areas of flooring because it feels dull and basic most of the time, but for Easter there's not much that can be done to avoid it without a petal floor which is expensive and more suited to indoor/classic designs that people don't seem to want much these days. Sooooo here we go

The idea is that it's small enough to be cosy and community-driven without being crowded and pokey, with an aesthetic that evokes Easter by way of the tomb of Christ - the open cave on the left signifying the new life *+*+*+ I'm not 100% on the real central area, people might want more seating or a change in position of the campfire area so that's open to a fair bit of change. The rest is just bloody cute and you WILL love it or else

Ello guys,

OK so with Easter nearly over and the start of summer officially just around the corner we wanted to get a head start on getting some amazing HxHD layouts posted, granted there have been some spectacular Summer HxHD designs over the last decade.

But we really want the next Layout to be up there with the best! A place for people chill and spend time but more importantly to have FUN, so in essence the layout should appeal to the entire habbox community and its followers.

TO make it interesting and worth your time this time around the department will be offering a prize!!!

The designer of the winning layout will receive 100 Credits! If more than one person is involved with the design the prize will be split 50/50.

Both are cool, I would like a Eurovision themed room instead of jumping straight into summer. Plebings' looks more polished but there are parts of Martin's that I prefer as well, like having the flags running round the top of the wall the whole way round the room, and it has a lot more seating which is a big thing.

I think Liam's 18+ Chill room is pretty nice. Simple, old school and just the right size. Not a fan of the flashy themes and colours; imo simple is the way to go.

I think there's mixed themes in both rooms, it would be good to stick to one theme.. As Coral says I can't see the meaning with office desks in a carnival room...

The first one could actually work well coming up to summer, but there are things that could be worked on! For example I would make the overall room bigger, so it doesn't look like there's so much going on in such a small space - you can't move around the room freely as the roller coaster is plonked in the middle of it. Also the Swivel Chairs could be substituted for an alternative that could fit in with the theme a little more.

The second is similar to the first, whoever uses it has to sit on the sofa to get to the other side of the room and it appears very small and cramped. I think they could work well if you had more room to play with and a better set of furniture. I noticed you used Builder's Club so I would check the Catalogue for more ranges and see which work better together too!

It's really nice to see some ideas being created though, as we definitely need a new layout sooner rather than later.

I like the idea but i hate that there is to much brown, so dull looking. Those cabin stools aswell really don't do it for me. It just needs to look more summery I think.

I'm not a big fan of this one, I agree with Mrs P i think it's too brown and nowhere near summery enough! I think I understand what you're going for (like a las vegas hotel with a beach outside?) but I don't think it comes across all that well :(

I love the pier one but like others have said the desk is like non existent if there's somewhere that it can be moved to that is more accessible then that'd be perfect. It's very different to other help desk' we've had in the past, sometimes change is good! :)

It would be nicer in my opinion if there could be some sand that make it look like a shallow gradient into the water, instead of
just the water and the pebbles side by side, it seems a little too edgy for my liking. I like the dock but it seems weird because
it seems like the main attraction instead of the desk which looks like they are hiding down there haha. But i like the concept!

I really like this! It's nice that the desk area sticks out so if somebody needs help they will know straight away where to go

I quite like Emily's but I think it's a bit too symmetrical - I think it should be mixed up a bit (especially the bit at the bottom) and made to look a bit more natural!

I am not keen on the letters tbh! I hate it when the HXHD has BIG LETTERS THROWN IN THERE! Like why? We have wired no need to spoil a design by chucking ugly builders blocks in there

Totally agree with this. Going from Halloween to Christmas is a bit drastic and an interim design would be good. We haven't seen classic for a while I don't think and that would be far more welcoming than an outdated Halloween design right now. :P

I'm liking that design. It's inviting and laid out very well. There's a few slight suggestions I would like to make, but they're not important, so if it doesn't happen, I won't be fussed.

1. Try to change the dividers where the desk is in the corner. It looks a little out of place. Perhaps try attic dividers or stack the Japanese wooden bridges you have along the water as a "top piece".

2. Change the cobbled floor near the desk and seating areas to flow a bit better. Try the zen garden tiles or dark grass.

Hello lovely talented people!

We're the hunt for a new layout for HxHD, new managers new layout and all that jazz!
Easters coming up so if you want to base it around that, that'll be fab - or just spring. You don't need bouncing bunnies and a ton of eggs if you don't want.

Something we'd love to include in this layout is an events section. So a space out of the way of the main desk where we can host all the basic games (place furniture/wired to suit each time). If you can include that in your design that would be lovely, if not that's fine!!

If im honest I like the layout with the desk in the middle. I dont like the chairs used for the desk though and the plants in the top corner could be something like friendship trees or something. I think the plants are a bit mismatch over there. I love everything else though!

There's a few things I find misplaced;

furni lines do not flow at all. too many furni lines!!
awkward seating on the top with the awkward waterfall
the misplaced forest wall that stands above all the rest is bothersome


I am not a fan of it, I apologise. That's my constructive feedback for it.

Yea it is but we can't do anything until the Easter furni comes out in April
