[OFFICIAL] Design HxHD

Hiya, are we designing a normal room before a christmas room or are we going straight into a christmas design after halloween?

I would expect they will go back to an older design for 2-3 weeks and then go into a winter theme. (just guessing here)

Thank you, I realised after making it that it had too many different ranges/items in so I agree with you on there. Just wanted to try a different layout but it didn't work xD.

Honestly, I rather like it, it's simple but I would perhaps change the Ditches to something else, maybe only have 3 Car Sofas too and use something else for the ends. I just think small things could be rectified but nice work :) x.

thanks sam! yeah i didnt know what to use so i just used the classic dividers out. felt that lodge plinths would maybe hide a majority of the area.

I prefer Cait's there in all honesty. The other one looks like Summer, but with colours usually associated with Christmas (Red & Green)

These were the comments made last year, but so many people was in favor of getting this room. There is lots of sand, ice cream makers and the summer background with the beach and pool.. It does look quite Summery.

One year, why can't we make a Christmas room for the South Hemisphere? Cameron's room would be 100% perfect for it. xD xxMATTGxx;

I can't stand background toners, especially in such bright colours, the Valentines table + chairs really don't fit with the rest of the room and there is no teleport for HxHD staff to get behind the desk.

The rest is really nice, but will Matt be able to get all this furni lol

Actually there is coins under the tiki stages or w.e they are called so people cant go through which solves that problem, also the background toners can be changed to any colour you want http://prntscr.com/16l85e. Yeah, I dont really like the venice tables n' chairs as you pointed out, any suggestions on what to replace it with? For the teleport you could just use the stack tile and put it 40 thingys up which would hide it. It would be placed in that back row of chairs in the Hd part.

Guess it's not that great but it was quite small and affordable. I left a space for the teleport behind the desk and staff can double-click the lupines to go behind the desk too.. Also left a space for a Habbo Cola Machine (woo for tradition) if it ever miraculously got chosen lol.

Oh yeah, I could lend absolutely everything in the room to Mattg if it /did/ get chosen haha.

i think all the new designs have been good but the best ones are probably camerons if it was tweaked a little or the one that was in the feedback thread, a remake of the previous years. redoing an older one would be quite nice really and nobodies stopping somebody from adding a little bit to the design.

I would use Tyler's during the month of June until mid July and then change it for a summer one. S:

That water is the only stackable one though, that's why he used it I believe - I don't think the new stacking tile allows it either, also LiquidLuck.; we don't need 2 designs, the spring one is the Easter one and if it's needed you can just remove the Easter stuff - also if Tyler hasn't got all the furni nor will he let Matt borrow any then you're looking at Matt spending at least 500 Credits on that room as I know the Orange Tree is 150-160 Credits itself, the boat is 20 Credits and not to mention seats and decoration :P.

Excuse me? It was 20 Credits, the MarketPlace has drove the value down, I wasn't on Habbo so I wouldn't have known the exact value. Also, I don't do maths and I haven't for years lmao.

Does it matter what spring or summer is, for summer you don't need a beach or deckchairs, flowers and greenery suffice.

Sorry, but I don't really like that.. The red carpets is what annoys me the most, they don't look good how they are. Also the heart sofas for summer nty.

why do people fap over big rooms they are absolutely gross. small & simple is the way forward

There was a small design by Sammeth or w.e that I really liked but I think the general complaint is that "it'll get too busy!1!1! and crowded" even though they are 104 tiles and the max room limit is 50.

Obviously management disagreed, it has always been management who decides the layout of the help desk and that's how it is going to stay. We already know that a layout change is never going to please everyone but I do not think that it makes this thread defunct or useless if it's not used every time there's a layout change.

well i was bored and i didn't have any idea for a spring room so i thought i would do summer

Its not too dissimilar from the one that Martin had for summer,
The desk is in the same place, similar layout etc.
I like some aspects of it but I'm not really a fan, not sure why.

Thought I'd try designing a Help Desk concept, mainly aimed at Spring rather than Summer :P. Unfortunately I've run out of credits atm so it is unfinished - notably it needs some wall items, e.g. forest posters on the right section of the room. And seats are needed in the staff area and also in the left area, and tbh I'd probably scrap the bonsais or move them out the way a bit :P.

I'm not a huge fan of it either, but I don't think it looks that bad :P. What would you suggest instead though? I guess more petal patches would be a nice alternative.

Even if someone just sticks to using one half of the current room, but makes a *nice* layout for it...

Never been a fan of the current one, it just looks too random, if someone want's to design one, stick to lines of furni that people know go well together, or just one line, and have all the elements of the desk fit with the design, rather than having a street/outdoor theme and then pods for the desk :/

looks like you are actively trying to separate those looking for help from those wanting to sit and chat. don't approve of that, but it's a quaint little room and i think having the helpees (for lack of a better term - those looking for help) facing the screen is an idea that needs building on as psychologically speaking it helps to draw the attention away from those giving the help and onto those looking for it.

I actually really like this, particularly the left side. Just my opinion but I think the right hand side (the seating area) looks a little square but that may just be me :P Plus it might be fun to add a little bit more colour or make the stage area more interesting?

Saying that it's nice to see an original design, I've never seen something like this before! And it would be great to see a different shaped room for once, just because we use the same room all the time doesn't mean people can't change the shape with black holes and things :P

I Still personally think Evanoras is the best so far, Daltron's is nice! But it's just too dark in my opinion :(
Evanora's is nice because it has a certain theme with it but doesn't involve a certain season or event, & Has a big space and large seating so it can include everyone?
