It won't look like what hes posted but the "tablet UI" (Well the new UI) will be on any version of Windows 8. Regardless if you have a touch screen or not, but like I've said in the past you don't have to use it and you can go back using the normal Windows UI with the taskbar etc. Not sure how it's going to work fully as it hasn't been explained yet. I'm assuming BUILD this year will gives more details about Windows 8.

Two things:

1. I get a phone upgrade in October so I can get an iPhone 5 then for approx $199

2. I have a grandfathered non smartphone plan that gives me unlimited data (you can't get unlimited data here on normal plans) and if I buy a smartphone from Bell they'll axe my plan and put me on a smartphone plan which is horrible and expensive here. When my upgrade comes around in October I'll hopefully be able to lie my way into letting me have that iPhone 5 without a dataplan (they're not allowed to sell you smartphones without dataplans. They're also not allowed to sell you SIM cards and nothing else however I also managed to get one through a friend who works at Bell).

Finally got my laptop into a usable state in Linux, somehow it was easier in Fedora than Ubuntu lol...

Switchable graphics cards were the worst, I don't intend on using the discrete GPU in Linux though so I just disabled the entire thing, battery life, heat and fan noise are fixed. Now I just need to get the middle button of my TrackPoint working as the scroll button like in Windows.

It's similar. The one that comes up when you register your machine for use in the United Kingdom is a very dark, contrasting image. I can't find it online though. It's taken from a different angle too.

I then set the panels to the Aero theme, I also edited some of the panels so that they're a bit different (Such as the notes panel used to have two rows of notes). I've actually now changed the websites widget to individual panels with a slightly different tint and my desktop is beautiful to look at now. I really like it though because it can look really different depending on how you set it up.

Just installed CyanogenMod on my Galaxy S2, got a Super Mario live wallpaper (that isn't aligned in the screenshot, I guess 'cus it was moving). Also overclocked it to 1.6GHz.

It would be worth asking what exact optimisations you are suggesting - I have done some stuff, not sure if there is something specific I should have done..
Also made sure auto-defrag is off.

4) Enable noatime for SSD filesystems
5) Disable Spotlight

It's actually really simple as it uses simple vim bindings when used with the moderator key (alt), i.e. Alt+J moves up the windows in the current workspace, Alt+H extends the current window left.

You can also use Alt+1/2/3/4/5/6 to move to the workspaces and Firefox is automatically configured to open up on the 2nd workspace entitled web, urxvt is to open up on the first and I just run mocp/mplayer on the "mus" one.
