I've never used my Desktop for anything really, I tend to use the keyboard shortcuts, quick launch, start menu or have things begin on start-up. And I've never put files on my desktop, it looks sooo messy :P

Ahh sweet! :) It looks very graphical, much like Windows Vista. They updated the graphics very well on Vista and some of the desktops I've seen there are very good. This isn't much different graphically, I don't think.

Yeah, it's a breeze! :P

The icon is Handbrake, a third party app that rips DVD's into MP3 and countless other formats for use on your iPod or computer. They have it for windows but it takes about 4/5 hours a movie and doesn't work very well. Also there's no GUI for windows. :P If you wanna know more just add me on msn. PM me for it if you want,

I use both programs, iTunes and WMP. I just use WMP when my music is located else where and when I'm doing iPod stuff, I use iTunes. Oh and tom, no I don't think the same ;]

In relation to the first page especially am i the only one who finds the horrendous oversized icons incredibly ugly. for a product advertised so heavily on aesthetics im impressed how fugly you can make em look lol.

I think the Mac Desktop is a bit fugly, for something that is adverised as 'sexy' and 'stylish.'

I use VMFusion for linux mostly, Suse and redhat run so smooth on it, will post both Macs later tonight.

How do you figure no command lines involved? Short of the fact the terminals the easiest way to do stuff (I'm a mouse person, I'm crap touch pad :p). Most stuff you cant really do without it. (everything from Changing the grub start up options, though finally getting the ndswrappers and all that set up to give me some wireless ability?)

Im not sure how much command line use you want to class it as a good distro, but personally i prefer somthing like gedit over being stuck in VI o.0

Id say the bit that makes it easier as far as ive seen is simply theres more stuff on it, so more places to look and ask if somthing doesnt work "/ which aint a bad thing imo.

What do you use anyhow?
