right click, uncheck "lock the taskbar" (if it's checked)

then, move your cursor to the point where the top of the taskbar ends, click and drag.

..then re-check "lock the taskbar"

Urm, they are not rubbish, they are extremely good for what you pay for. You can put an SSD card in to upgrade the storage, upgrade the ram, use a USB drive to install XP and you have a very nice, very cheap laptop?

You can easily unlock the full Linux desktop so you can do everything you could do on a normal Linux laptop.

And in my experiance the gadget show talks a load of bull.

Its a wicked app, it scrobbles (or whatever its called) your music to Last.fm for you so you dont need the last.fm app, and displays your music on your desktop in these wierd little boxes :D. You can buy it on the web or if your not into buying it theres other ways which some people use. I think you get meh rite?

Here's my ASUS EEE's background (got rid of Linux, running XP now, it runs good after I stuck 2gs ram in. I also moved documents and settings to my 8GB SDHC. Freed up lots of room on the SSD, not to mention writes.)

If you buy Stardock (or since dockets on Stardock are compatible with rocket dock which is FREE!!) you can put a start button button on the dock, that opens the start button. Or you can make a stack (on both OSX and Windows) Like this:
