Does anybody have this game on the PC? It's way better than the SD vs RAW series in terms of gameplay and characters. Obviously worse graphics, but ya know.

Yeah lol. I think JR turned into The King, then Michael Cole then Howard Finkel. I think you should be able to choose 4 attires in the SD vs RAW series tbh like in No Mercy. For example, HHH could have his DX attire, black attire, HHH t-shirt and jeans and maybe HHH tights from 1998 era. Maybe even the black jeans he used to wear in around 1997.

Lmao yeah. I'd send them an email but THQ never listen to what the fans want. I think the No Mercy gameplay is way better than SD vs RAW anyway. THQ should make the SD vs RAW series as good as No Mercy. You could knock people off the apron into the barrier. Shame about the no commentating and no ring announcer though.

I prefer Virtual Pro Wrestling 2, a Japanese puroresu game that was the predecessor to WWF No Mercy.

I wouldn't bother writing to THQ, there is a huge online fanbase for No Mercy and they would have been contacted about it hundreds of times. AJ Styles and Samoa Joe worked closely with the development of the TNA iMPACT! video game, and are trying to get it similar to No Mercy.

Lol, it's worth it. I'd recommend you use a controller though because the keyboard is hard to use for WWF No Mercy.

Emulators are only legal if you have the console, and ROMs are only legal if you have the particular games in the physical.

Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 is better than No Mercy in my opinion, because I'm more of a puroresu fan, and it came before, with the predecessor engine.

It's not got any licenses to WWF, but there are people who made a name for themselves in Japan like the Funks, Abdullah The Butcher, Johnny Smith, Stan Hansen. Mainly people who are WWE housed probably does not know of, but it was only released in Japan and is for AJPW, BBPW, NOAH, NJPW, among a few other Puroresu promotions. The reason I prefer it is because I am a huge Puroresu fan and I know everyone on the game and it's a great experience to play, realistic too, but if you don't know Japanese pro wrestling, don't waste your time, stick to No Mercy because A. you will know the wrestlers, B. the graphics and gameplay is generally better, and C. it's far more expansive with the weapons, ladder and cage matches, etc. In VPW2, you can standard matches, Tag Team matches, Battle Royals and NoDQ matches, but it suits me as I love strong-style. If you're into all the hardcore possibilites of No Mercy, VPW2 has nothing better to offer, apart from a sickle weapon. :)

Albert was already on SD 2. You could unlock Albert's parts in SD 1. You could unlock Mick Foley, Cactus Jack, Michael Cole, Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco, Pete Gas, Rodney, Joey Abs, Debra and Billy Gunn in SD 2 season as well. These are all on No Mercy anyway. :D

The graphics aren't that good and personally even if it does have good gameplay and other features I really wouldn't play it as it's all about the graphics for me and it looks too cartoony. But I guess it was really good back in the day with the likes off old skool PS1 and N64 games :P

I meant No Mercy is widely considered the greatest pro wrestling video game of all time, and it does deserve that honour, I just prefer VPW for the reasons that I've stated. Not too many people know about it because as I said, it was released solely for the Japanese audience, thus the game is entirely in that language. :P

WWE should rename the "Legends" to "Classic Superstars", since a great number of those featured in the SmackDown! vs. RAW games are not legitimate legends of the WWE or professional wrestling. That term gets thrown around too easy nowadays. Eddie isn't a legend, Owen isn't a legend, and Kane's masked attire should remain optional when you select him for play.

I imagine this year's game will have a limited number of "special" wrestlers in lieu of the Legends Of WrestleMania game next year.

Yeah lol. I'm just playing on Smackdown Just Bring It. I'm The Rock VS Austin and Triple H came in and broke up the count after I rockbottomed Austin. Triple H picked me up and pedigreed me straight face first into the canvas, the good old Triple H pedigree where he kept the arms hooked unlike today's pedigree where he pushes the opponent's back into the ground whilst in midair. It's a shame JBI didn't have defendable titles in exhibition mode and that managers don't come out. In the entrance, Hardcore didn't come out with Crash. I think JBI was great tbh. I liked the pin where you stand near the legs and they do that really realistic pin where they lift the opponent's leg up as if they're really tired. I'm currently having D'Lo (caw) vs Edge. The reason THQ gave for the lack of attires was that they take up too much room, that essentially each attire was another Superstar, especially with this year's game which has 60 wrestlers. I'm sure with Blu-Ray discs, as the amount of data they can hold is incredible, they could make extra attires a PS3 exclusive.

Yeah, this would be awesome since I will get the PS3 version. Downloadable content could consist of attires, but who knows. They could also have all superstars with 1 attire and 1 blank attire and the user just goes into CAW mode and edits the blank attire to whatever they want. Of course the CAW mode would need lots of various clothing.

System restore. xD I think SVR09 should have a new camera mode btw. I was playing season mode earlier on SVR07 and I got chokeslammed by Big Show in season mode and the cameras were just like on TV, zoomed in more etc.

Yeah, they are unfortunately. I looked on IGN and the images and video of the post-match options are in the Nintendo Wii's section only, plus, you can see the Wiimote, and all those features seem to all be based on those mechanics, which I think looks pretty stupid actually, too robotic. The Wii's graphics on the game remind me of The Sims, except worse.

Lol, same. I'd rather use a controller to control the wrestler, not move my arms about with the wiimote. When I saw a video of Wii gameplay for SVR09, I was like, omg it's all taunts and same moves.
Edit: Lol, yeah that was cool. I remember running up the ramp to attack Austin and his cap fell off. I think HCTP at the end of the match was cool too. Attack, respect or taunt.
