Why is it sad - were simulating a very real part of our lives. If we want to be pilots or ATC then why not get practise? Or even if we just want it as a hobby-pasttime then whats sad? We have fun and make friends. Please leave this section if that is your view.

Nice shot there and im loving the way you are really expanding into the flight simulator community. How about going for an isometric-view with the cockpit centered, or even get a tail view. And about graphics cards if you can I advise buying a better one, but if you cant then don't worrie as it's whats happening in the picture that please's me - not the quality - whats the point of a super-good qualiy picture that is of a wheel? For wheel hobbyists maybe thats great but we're flight simmers :P

I didn't buy it for the screen. I bought it for the throttle on its own and I also bought it for the many buttons and switches, I can customize to do commands in the game.

Ok, so I set my NAV1 and NAV2 to the ILS freq (Lets say its 109.50)

So I hit APP, I establish on the glidescope and then APP flicks off and wont go back on. Is this normal? Because my plane then goes above the glidescope and APP wont go back on.

Think we just found your problem then - You need to press LOC to estabish you (turn) and then once fully established (Stopped turning and diamonds are in the right place) press APP, then it will decend you on the ILS!

What you've got to remember is there is no point decending on something you've not established, if you select APP before you've established the localiser you could crash into mountains etc..

Your APP proberbly disengages because it realises the localiser wasn't correctly captured and fears you may crash into some obstical along the way.

Autopilot is very clever nowadays :)

-You don't have to fly on VATSIM or any online server to fly for Fly UK.

-That 1 'online' flight was an accident haha. I accidentally selected 'Online' instead of 'Offline' from the drop-down menu during the Pirep. It didn't count to anything so thought I'd just leave it lol. :P

Here's the story.

Halfway through a flight something came up telling me to activate FSX because a trial period is over...now I'm pretty sure there was no trial period on there, I installed straight from the disc.

So, I was advised to uninstall it which I did - bad mistake. I try and re-install it, it gets to the end loading bar thing and this message comes up:

Does ANYONE have the slightest idea what's going wrong?! It worked fine before and neither of the discs have been touched in months!

The worst thing is that you never really appreciate something until you can't have it...I'm dying to go on now!

Do a system restore to a time where you hadn't had FSX installed and try and install it again.

If that doesn't work, I think your files on the disc may be corrupt.

After it installs, you must activate the product online. There is a serial number within your boxed package.

Yeah I know! Neither do I, but I'm trying to stick through it. If it's any constellation you can fly 757 (cargo) at Class D (the second rank).

FINALLY! after my FSX is fixed, I decided to take the Embraer out for a spin. First flight 'coz I've just been promoted to Class D at Fly UK, so I'm now allowed to fly it.
