I totally disagree. Like Sam said, I think its a beautiful aircraft and was a true flagship for the United Kingdom when she did flybys with the Red Arrows over the Queen. Amazing, Sadly she will never fly again but its always nice to see her shining in the sun at Manchester. :)

Other factors such as CPU come into it, and you need to make sure the graphics card type is right for the computer.

That is not Ultra High, even the default ground textures are great for me... like Microsoft actually included aerial shots (they did LOL). But ill take your word for it :P

FSX is very much CPU dependant, not GFX so much. What frame rates are you getting? (Shift + Z a couple of times will cycle through info strings at the top),.

There are still options within the Ultra settings you know. Just because all the sliders are to the right there are still many things that can be improved. Just go into the advanced/custom options.

FSX isn't crap when you have a great model and scenery like the PMDG 747X and London Heathrow 2008, even if it does murder frame rates. I would use DX10 but AA sucks in DX10.

Fair enough, if you like/are good at taking screenshots, go ahead and I'm sure most of us will praise you, but when it comes down to using the 'your screenshots are ****, you know nothing' kinda attitude in an argument or debate, it's really silly.

I'm gonna admit, my screenshots are completely **** but as long as I can use flight sim and am able to get into training to become an airline pilot (which I assume most of us want), then who gives a **** about screenshots, really?

I'm not directing this at anyone, it's just been building up and really ticks me off when people think they're a lot higher and will be a better airline pilot than anyone else 'cause they can press PRTSCR, paste it into photoshop or whatever and make it look better.

Oh and people can go on about how they think I'm jealous and I am! But, at the end of the day I think I'll be able to sleep at night. ;-)

I do totally understand your rant, over at FSW people do go on about the quality if they see someone post with jaggies etc. To be honest now a days I really don't mind as long as they look good as in the views you have taken. Even if they do have jaggies and so on.

Well said, I don't take screenshots even now with my new graphics card, I bought that because I was sick of waiting for my computer to catch up. Good graphics are a bonus but they arn't essential and shouldn't be used as a point for abuse, if that makes sense.

As for safe water landings, usually if you have to land in water it's not going to be very controllable so only tips I can give is pitch up when low to the water and hope for the best.

DON'T pitch up lol. You should try and slowly glide down to the wter, if you pitch up you will stall without engines.

No crashes etc. are simulated in default FS software, I don't see why people would really want it anyway.

Chances are, a real aircraft with under wing engines would break up on impact anyway so the slides would be ermmmmm useless.

I think people here dont understand that. [To non believers] It relies on CPU to load textures as fast as possible. I, and many(TAWM) other people are tired of all the "MY FPS isnt high" Response" Y0U N33D N3W GR4PH1Cs C4RD5!11!!!!!!11!!11" If you have a Lets say Geforce 9800GTX and a AMD 3800+, You wont get great frames, you have a BIG bottle neck. The AMD. And Tawn you have +rep coming your way.

Actually that is quite a nice gradient...

If you look closely in fsx you'll see zoomed in that the pics of the ground are satellite images and the 3d buildings are just obviously computer generated. Those shots look less realistic than the default scenery. Atleast from the shots you took.
