When Myke says AMAZING he means AMAZING as in top notch computer specs.
and also what Myke said :P
If you need further information or any in sim help or anything, contact me, I'll be sure to help as much as I can :)
Good luck & welcome :)
FS04 To be safe, You can always download the FSX Demo from the site and see how that runs.
People say you need an amazing computer to run FSX, but if you run the FSX demo well, would you run the FSX game as well as the demo?
Because i have a pc (2 or 3 years old) and it runs the fsx demo well, would it run the fsx game well? or would it be different because the game is more demanding.

Although FSX is soo demanding, I'm sure if alot of us had the chance to own the real computer to play it, we wouldn't say no. One of us, does infact play FSX with all the settings sliders maxxed out (Tawm), and even yet, he still plays FS2004, because of the high demanding addons people are STILL YET developing.
I would take FS2004.
Goodluck, and as Myke said, please don't hesitate to ask us for help.

If you cant run FSX at a decent rate you can always exchange it for 2004.
But it costs like £40 and fs2004 costs like £10, would you get the £30 back too?
There is othe ways of downloading fsx asw

I used to run FSX in middle detail on a computer with 500MB of ram, it hardly ever crashed. But i now use FS2004 and i can play that in full detail, with addons. So i recomend FS2004.

Woah, 500mb of ram? That's what my old computer had, looking at task manager always made me depressed to find out I was using it all simply by having msn, runescape and media player open :( I feel your pain :P
You can find out your spec by going to start --> right clicking on "My computer" and clicking "properties". Everything should be there :) (assuming you're running xp, idk about vista or anything else)

Hey Guys
I done this merge espiecally for myself but why when I can let you have the fun aswell. Please don't flame me, I done it on my behalf for the entertainment of you.
In the pack, it includes:
POSKY Boeing 747-400LCF Dreamlifter
PMDG 747-400F Cockpit, including virtual cockpit.
PMDG Pratt and Whitney soundkit.
PMDG 747-400F FMC.Just a short mock up of what is inside.
If you get a message saying that the aircraft is not flyable, then please disregard the message, its because of the different ratios of the panel and model. You might NOT get this message, I don't know as I havn't tested it yet however the aircraft is still perfectly flyable.

Word of advice, a merge is more than just copying files. The aircraft is unflayble is because you just copied them. You have to edit files (the .air file and AIRCRAFT.cfg etc) but I will try it out. I will say no more.

Only blur that has been used in the screenshot, is for the speed effect in the background.
There is only one layer and it has not been duplicated.

On the edges of my aircraft and buildings there are jaged lines;
http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/1699/fshelpnk4.png
But the people who post screenies on the forum dont have those jaged lines on. Also, the aircraft detail on my flight sim is set to full.
This may depend on the graphics card you have.
iAdam
12-04-2008, 06:52 PM
You need anti-aliasing on, settings > Display> check anti-aliasing.

Very nice, weird though, I've just done a model of that.
Nice, Sam; imo, the colours are too strong, they're like neon, only thing that ruins it tbh.
WD.
Uh, what scenery & plane is that?
If you have a control panel for your GFX card, then enable AA in that instead, disable in game and performance will not be effected.
iAdam
13-04-2008, 09:56 AM
Does anyone know a program that can enable AA?
Simpson, there's not a program that can if you card doesn't support it..
iAdam

Damn, I'll just edit my sim so I can run it without loosing performance.

Aerosoft / Megascenery London Heathrow 2008
Plane - BMI A320.
Firehorse

in fsx settings check the Anit Aliasing (AA) box. If you don't have a good graphics card it could slow down the frame rate a lot.
If it's an nvidia card you can also go to the nvidia display settings and set it to smooth rather than performance.
Firehorse
13-04-2008, 11:43 AM

Sam, I know it's an A320 mate xD I meant the model, cus I like the little cargo things :P
Scania
13-04-2008, 11:51 AM
The little cargo things are done by Aerosoft AES - Airport Enhancement Services.
The program is free however you need to purchase 'credits' to unlock different scenery.
Speak nice to me and I might give you some ;D
Sam, you're not online (: & i filled some in one time and it was like "SOZ U HAVE FAKED SUM OF THESE CODES, THIS PROGRAM CAN DO MORE DAN U FINK!!!" I was like ONOES *CRI* xD

Not bad; the nose and tail is hard to model accurately.
People are asking me when its going to be released but a good payware model takes well over 2 years. POSKYS freeware models take two years just for the model.
Besides, I'm doing it in my own time as currently I don't get any revenue from it.
