I understand, but people dont know that it can form on the engines/wings or whatever and yes if you don't know what it is it would almost look as if it 'was on fire' so I dont think there was any need at all to speak like that :]

After my disappointment of how crappy the panel was in my downloaded Grob Tutor, i have decided to make my own, since i have access to one alot of the time. I've found two programmes that will be able to do this, but they're payware, and i don't have access to WF, OR WoS.

Thank you, and yes. For the street lights I use Ultimate Terrain, and for the runway/airport lights, ive used Cielosim enhancer which makes them look as they do :)

R.I.P Uncle
A week ago, now, my Great Uncle passed away from Lung Cancer- the funeral was on Thursday. I haven't been very active, so I thought my first flight to do, is to respect my uncle.

I simply done a shuttle, EGCC to EGLL, for it's later flight to TNCM. My Uncle was fond of aviation, and was a qualified ATC, although, never went into the business; after he found out about all the stress it caused.

No, you check up on it etc. and do the landings, take offs, you cant leave for more than 30 minutes if your flying online (VATSIM).

Cielosim isnt for FSX, but you could try Flight Enhancer, ultimate terrain etc :). And www.avsim.com for repaints - Click FILE LIBARY at the top and search away

Level D 767, Straight away. Its a bloody amazing aircraft, great systems, model and everything. Some wonderful repaints for it on avsim and when your ready its also a great place to learn the FMC. :)

Yeah, in all the real pictures I have seen it does look relatively short compared to others.. not massively shorter tho :P I was also shocked to find that apparently Singapore Airlines already run regular services from EGLL using it.
I thought barely any airlines were using the A380 and were still waiting for them to be customised to suit the airlines.. Shows you how much I know XD

I think its fairly resized in FSX.

I believe there are only roughly 7 A380s in the world at the moment, Singapore air having about 4-5 of them. I know Qantas has one or two now aswell.

I now have the PMDG 747-400, and can start it up fine except for the EICAS/PFD etc, I align them, switch them back to nav, but they are always black. The screens work since I loaded in the air at Friday Harbor by accident and they were fully active.. Does anyone know if theres some special power settings for them ??

It seems I may have a dodgy PMDG 747-400, since the screens were only active for a short time in Friday Harbor, and just as I changed back to EGLL the screens went to their constant black.

Following the PMDG type rating course, the screens do not come alive when
Standby Power is switched to auto, OR when the APU is turned on.

Yeah, but even so tis still good fps, I managed to tweak my settings on FSX enough to get 7 FPS today ^.^ !

I might buy a new motherboard soon, the processors on this thing aren't really good enough for FSX!

form point of veiw as controller on vatsim myself if you are will to learn then any uk airport will help you.

Its an activation problem. Did you follow the readme step by step? Also did it come with a cracked PMDGoptions.dll.

1. Install PMDG747_400_FSX.exe using the EnableButton.exe program
2. Copy and overwrite the 'PMDGOptions.dll' to your 'Modules' folder
3. Run FS and fly! Yes it IS that easy!

Thanks! AB?? Yeah, I use fsx, For some reason when i've lowered my settings and then put them back up to Ultra High I get a much better FPS, very strange but very useful :)

In the end I solved it by legally buying the thing, Definately one of the only worth while payware products :D It also qualifies me for support which is very useful. Thanks for the help anyway guys!


Although, It did come with a Cracked PMDGOptions.dll, but when i replaced it kept coming up with errors when i tried to load it in flight sim, saying 'PMDGmain.dll could not find PMDGOptions.dll' - Anyway, problems all solved now xD Just gotta learn how to fly it

Manchester/Birmingham generally has good atc, EGTT_S_CTR is sometimes also online.

I myself control Stansted and Luton, traffic movements aren't great though, although I'm set to do my tower exam in a few weeks so I can move up to approach and radar.

VATSIM has pilot mentors that can help you through aircraft and such, and then controllers (such as myself, Adam, Dan, Tucker, Tom) can take you through the air traffic control side of it.

when they say "with kilo" or "with india" it means they have copied the current ATIS information.

airports use information codes when they broadcast the ATIS - and when the weather changes, so does the info code.

for example, ATIS "information alpha" may have winds 330@6
when the winds change, for example, to 320@5, the ATIS code changes to ATIS "information bravo".

ive only ever heard "requesting taxi to the runway with kilo" in america, in the UK you normally report "with information [x] on board" in your initial IFR/VFR clearance request

what you're saying is not the point. It is the individual users fault - and not VATSIMs fault for allowing them to connect to the network. VATSIM welcomes everyone of all abilities, HOWEVER it is up to them to read the PRC and to learn how to fly their aircraft properly. Just because one idiot decides to fly without the proper knowledge/training doesn't mean that people who have no experience on the network should not be allowed to connect to VATSIM :).

Installed FS on my grandads computer after putting an old X550 in.
