Standard Vs. Deluxe?
There are two versions of Microsoft Flight Simulator X that will be available; a Standard version, and a Deluxe version.
The difference between the two versions is simple - the Deluxe version gives you more... more aircraft, more detailed airports, more missions, and more 3D cities. The table below shows a comparison of the two:

Standard: Deluxe:
Aircraft: 18 24
High-Detail Airports: 40 45
High-Detail Cities: 28 38
Structured Missions: 30+ 50+
Extra Features: N/A - Glass panel (G1000) cockpit
- Tower Controller

No point flying without a yoke or joystick. Ed, as MetroAir said, it is a good idea to with the training lessons. VATSIM is the most realistic add on for a game you will ever come across on the internet you need to know your stuff. That's why you need to read the PRC, www.vatsim.net/prc, and read and watch and fly the tutorials on FS2004.

He is saying himself as a loner being the only one that likes FSX. And no that isn't a good computer...thought I'd let you know. :) You need Duo or Quad core, HD space doesn't affect it in the slightest so stop showing off with that. Ghz is good but you can't run a game off of good Ghz. You need 3GB Ram not 1. Nice graphics card would be good like the GeForce 8800GTX Ultra 768MB memory. That's good for FSX.

Yes, he maybe can fly on flight simulator, because flight sim is much different to real life. But even sam flying a cessna in real life he probably could not do, no flaps, no can do.

I'm 12 callum.

You and Adam really should stop being so harsh on the Metroair guy. All he did was post a screenie and because its not done to perfection you both decide to slate him? Jesus it's a SIMULATOR, not real life. No-one is trying to say he's making a landing in real life so you both need to really lay off and chill with the flight simulator thing, because you're taking it very very seriously.

August 2007 Competition

Liberation and I have taken it upon ourselves to start a monthly screenshot competition, each month will have its own theme and you must follow the guidelines given. There will be a winner each month, who's name will be shown in this thread.

We are looking for both an editted and uneditted picture to win.

So August's thread, we were thinking what theme would be fitting, until we finnaly came up to what we thought would be quite a nice theme as it opens up alot of oppertunities for you to get your creative juices flowing.
With all the hype from the all new A380 and its outrageous design we felt it was taking the limelight off Boeing and their strifes. So this months theme will be simply 'Boeing'.

GUIDELINES :

The picture can be taken either in the air or on the ground.
The picture can be either in the cocpit or and external picture.
It MUST be any of the Boeing fleet, from any airline.
The picture must be less then 1MB.

Get posting, theres not long of the month left!

This is a nice idea and all but what are you judging the pictures on? How they've taken the picture or will quality be involved aswell, I think it might be unfair as some people will have much better computers than others and maybe a newer version of the game, I'm not sure what versions there are but if you're judging by quality aswell maybe a few more restrictions will need to be applied, if not then I suppose all is well aslong as everyone is judged fairly I suppose

UPDATE

Because I can not edit my post's I am going have to put some updates on a seperate post.

The size of the images , previously 1mb has now been lifted to whatever size you want.

For those saying how people with the better PC specs will win, I am not rewarding people who have better graphics at all, it is more what they have managed to cpature in the image and what angle they have gone for and such forth, not the smoothness of the airplane.

Please continue to get posting, the entry's so far are looking GREAT!

I would also like to add that there is NO limit as to how many shots you want to post, as the fS fanbase isn't amazingly huge on habbox forum.

Right what I was thinking is I'll leave it to you guys to decide how you think the final judging should be done, there are two options;

Option one is jus I will choose the winning image and that will be the winner
Option two is that I will choose 4 or 5 of the best picture, that I think and then make a voting thread . using a poll for you lot to choose the overall winner.

because FSX had a mouse control (CTRL+Y) I thought fs2004 would be the same.

wrong..

anyone know of any programs that will let me use mouse?

CptBilly

Mouse? Why would you want to use a mouse. Joystick or yoke is much more realistic. I have the Saitek x52 Joystick but want that Saitek yoke! I'll do a quick Google for you! :)

Okay.

I mean, money isnt a problem.

I had £28, FS2004 was £16

28-16 = 12

I get £20 a month

12 + 20 = 32

And I spot a joystick in argos (yes, argos), and its £20

I reccomend the joystick I have, Logitec Force 3D Pro, it reacts tot the scenery around it e.g. when on ground it will vibrate the same when i plane did with the wheels on the concrete, it also reacts to turbulance. It also has alot of buttons of which you can set what they do, making it easier to do operations quickly.

The Saitek Cyborg EVO for 29.99 is good. If you have another 6 quid to spare you should get the wireless. :P
The Saitek AV8R Retro for 19.99 is also good.

I really reccommend Saitek, they have the best support team in the world! You have a problem, they will fix it. My joystick got damaged, I sent it back and they sent me a new one for free. They don't question or query they just help you.
