Edited by MattGarner (Forum Super Moderator): Please do not post pointless comments ;)
You're obviously not familiar with FS.
He's posting a screenshot of his flight, from the simulator (note the section).
If you tihnk tihs thread if pointless, you should see the rest..

In all honesty though, almost every thread in this section is pointless.
I might take a screenshot of my Football Manager game after every single result and make a new thread with it in. It's only the same.

Yes, but people are actually interesting in it, and they're not all the same, there are MANY types of aeroplanes and hundreds of airlines/liveries.
No screenshot is the same.

yes but with flight simulator, its a user controlled experience, allowing the user to create different angles and give a different perspective of an aircraft during flight or when its on the ground or whatever. the results table of a football manager would be the same every time - many of the shots from flight simulator are not the same and offer a different view of different types of aircraft.

No it wouldn't be the same every time. Okay then I might take a load of screenshots from Left 4 Dead or Truck Simulator and post a **** load of threads with screenshots in. It's pretty sad that you had to demean and analogy.

Look, if you haven't noticed, this IS the Flight Simulator SECTION. If you don't like what you see, then get away to some other section, otherwise, don't post anything here, unless, it's to do with the topic.

I'm not trying to start an argument, I'm trying to be given an explanation as to why people take screenshots and post a thread about them. I have been downloading FSX gradually for the past week actually.

Basically with flight simulator, which I must say is a large community of people (not on this forum but around the web) Such as flightsimworld. Like to discuss and show people what flights/weather/ whatever they are doing in the game and post them on forums or websites. It's not suppose to look pointless, its just what most flight simmers do :P. It's hard to explain, but I hope you get the idea.

Well for this I am going to be using Photoshop CS3 with no preloaded tools.
Ill take one of my crappy images for using as an example.
Original photo:
http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h27/Frank_EA_2006/1.png
Alright, first off we are going to use the image auto adjustments, there are 3 types. Auto contrast, Auto Color and Auto Levels. Experiment with all 3, but here are the effects on the original picture from the different adjustments.
Auto Levels:
http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h27/Frank_EA_2006/autolevels.png
Auto Contrast:
http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h27/Frank_EA_2006/autocontrast.png
Auto Color:
http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h27/Frank_EA_2006/autocolor.png
All 3 together:
http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h27/Frank_EA_2006/all3.png
You can see clearly that these have some good effects on the original picture. (Ignore my scenery which was quite messed and showed clearly during the screenshot.)
Alright, now the next method is Hue/Saturation. (Ctrl+U) Play around with the sliders and boost your color levels a bit more. (I only use Saturation as lightness is ok and hue changes all the colors.)
I changed my saturation to about +30-40 and got this result:
http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h27/Frank_EA_2006/all3huesat.png
The last feature im going to use is the Shadow/Highlight tool. (Image > Adjustments > Shadow/Highlight) By changing the shadows I brightened a bit of the aeroplane up and shows alot more detail. Here was my result:
http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h27/Frank_EA_2006/withshadows.png
And for the very last feature im sure everybody knows of, is cropping the image to what you want to show and add a small border around the edges.
Final Image:
http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h27/Frank_EA_2006/Final.png
Thats all for now,
Frank.
Edit: I shouldve used the sharpen tool but didnt seem at the time as necessary. If your image is a little blurred just make the brush about 400px in size and click over your image to give a nice sharp effect to it.
Stephen!

Your aircraft should have come in it's own folder (usually the aircraft model) which you place into your 'Aircraft' folder, inside the model folder are folders such as "texture.BAW" "texture.BMI" for different liveries, and these are configured in your aircraft.cfg .
Did you get any documentation with your aircraft?

After I was playing with some settings I recovered these screenshots from my images database, I havn't attempted to crop these images they are straight from the simulator. In the last screenshot I fixed my Anti Aliasing. By the way, I was in no way attempting to land in screenshots 1-2 for those whom are concerned.

Thanks,
I think I added another one on, so which one?
And usually around 40 (which is my set cap), it occasionally dips down to 20 just after I maximize but goes stable after around 30 seconds to 30-40 again.
So 30 average.

I havn't got all of my addons back yet, however I'm downloading them as I write this very topic.
I've everything on high including the autogen settings, and I'm getting a steady ~40 FPS (capped 60) with the Level-D 767, so I'm going to hope now that when I install my airport scenery and special lighting that it doesn't all go bad, however even on XP I think I had my autogen turned off, so I could just turn it off and I wouldn't notice, I guess.
However, I'm suprised with the performance on most of my games, including Left 4 Dead, HL2, CS:S (All on highest settings) are running perfectly fine, since they didn't on Windows Vista.
I'll post my updates and screenshots here.

No they weren't, they went down because the "hacker" removed the partition tables, and Tom Allensworth and his associate watched him do it.
Now most of POSKY links are down because of that! :(

I have played flight simulator games before and really enjoy them. But I am confused about what flight simulator game it is that all of you play and how it works etc. Like is it a game that you have to buy from a store or something? Thanks, +rep to any helpful answers. :)
Basicly, its a game mostly used by aviation enthusiasts (sp), bought from a store (unless your naughty and download it via torrent) and it simulates being a pilot... From starting the aeroplane, to taking off, to landing... It has various models available from the menu, and for download aswell. Payware and Freeware addons are avalible (See sticky in this forum for a great list) whitch include scenery, repaints, models and more...
To get the best out of flight simulator you will need a good graphics card (Such as nvidia) and great computer specs. Your best having a joystick aswell!
-Watch MattG come and top all that with one sentace-
LOL, nice shots, loving the cargo!!!
My internet connection is crap so downloading it is out of the window. Can I buy it at somewhere like PC world and if so, how much will it cost and what is the exact name of the game? Cheers.
Matt Garner and the possay use Flight Simulator 9: A Century Of A Flight, can be bought from PC world...
Flight Simulator X is the latest version, but it uses alot of memory...

Now for the rest of the thread:
This was also posted on the jE forums: http://jetengland.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=44 - Click Here (http://jetengland.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=44)
jetEngland has undergone some heavy maintenance work since it started and before we want to release it to the public.
It has already had a BETA test, which was okay - though We feel it could of been ALOOTTT better than its current state.
For example: Instead of usernames, we now have Pilot ID’s. We have completly scrapped the “get injured” idea, and have completly rewrote the source code for the internal runnings of jetEngland - the file has been dramatically reduced, the errors have been surpressed with the JE error system.
The website has been reduced from a loading time to 0.80millieseconds to around 0.14 (also depends on server load).
The “lookup user” has been replaced with a more unique pilot system, that has multi-functioning tools for that user.
The backend: The backend has been dramatically changed, with the database being ever-updated to suite certain new/removal (of) features - for example, as I said earlier in the post, the usernames has been removed (so therefore the row in the table for usernames is gone).
There is now also a feature to detect XSS flaws, and if noticed - trigger an error, and block the request.
ANOTHER new feature would be the NEW webmaster centre, with all the different JEAPI examples to try out.
Yet ANOTHER new feature would be the detect server load - and if it gets too high for a certain user, it inputs into our staff job list as a critcal level and then moans to all the technicians that the servers need optimizing http://www.dominic-uk.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif
There is hundreds of more features in the linings, and hundreds already fitted but not described here (we’re not going to blow the whole game away!!). Simply wait for the public/private beta (if private, hope that you’re lucky enough to either get an “invitation code” from other users or from us!)
We look foward to seeing you flying in the virtual skys with all other jetEngland.com members.
PS: Checkout VATSIM soon http://www.dominic-uk.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif We have a special treat that will be lined up - put it this way, it WILL be big and WILL attract alot of attention towards jetEngland.com for the good reasons http://www.dominic-uk.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif
Safe flying,
